The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford, is one of the best Westerns ever made. Peak cinematography and sound track. It's not all action, and more of a psychological film, very character driven. It is a masterpiece.

Also No County for Old Men and There Will be Blood are amazing non-traditional westerns.
