I've got the iPhone 5 it's sound and only cost me
£15. Like the look of that Moto G comparatively and piece is spot on.

Cracking deal, especially when you consider some of the specs are similar to last years S3 or Nexus 4. Sure there are a few trade offs, but they're hardly deal breakers. They won't break the bank either, and actually look pretty decent. Usually at this price range the phones are junk, but this could easily have sold for £300+, it's a cracking phone

I got the mrs one but from Phones4u, not had a play with it though as just charged it and wrapped it

I bought one for my mothers step daughter in law, had a little play and was quite impressed. It's very quick, which is not something you usually associate with a low cost phone. Built quality was very good, and Kit Kat will be available sometime in Jan (UK). The only difficulty I came across was getting the back cover off, I thought I'd broken it because it took so much force to get the thing loose! Pretty sure your Mrs will be very happy with it

Slo-mo is great, especially when boobs and bouncing are involved.

the S3/S4 Mini's are just down specced phones that tag on the name for sales. They are the budget Samsungs, still good deals for the price, but they could always be a bit cheaper if it wasn't for the Galaxy name being tacked on.

The Moto G and Nexus 4 are similar, but deffo not the same. The Nexus 4 has a much better CPU/GPU combo and 2 GB of RAM.

I think for the prices, both are great value (if you can still get the Nexus 4)

The Nexus 4 will set you back roughly £100 more. The problem then is, why would you go for the Nexus 4 over the Nexus 5. If you're price conscious I think you'd go for the Moto G, the Nexus 4 is kind of in a bit of a limbo land now the 5 is out.

From what I remember it was about impossible to get a Nexus 4, as LG didn't anticipate demand, and it was only set to be a one production run phone or something.

But yeah, the 5 is where you want to be for bang for buck.

It does look like the Moto G handily beats the Galaxy S4 Mini for value though (higher res screen, better CPU but falls down on RAM and removable storage)

The RAM choice was a bit strange, but isn't an issue unless you multi task or game. I'd suggest if you were more of a power user you'd opt for the Nexus 5 and pay up the extra pony's, or go for one of the Sammy/ Sony/ LG offerings etc

Initially the Nexus 4 was in short supply, for quite a while actually. They then ramped up production and it was always in stock on the UK play store. For a short period of a month or two, just prior to the Nexus 5 launch, it was sub £200 for the 16Gig phone (going from memory), and closer to £140ish for the 8Gig version.

You can get hold of the Nexus 4 online, obviously not from the play store, but the price is more in line with what it was initially sold for from the Play store. That's the killer really, because you might as well plump up the extra £40 and get the Nexus 5 over the 4
