Totally agree.
One of my best wine experiences ever was sitting in the square in St Emillion quaffing an excellent red from that gorgeous little town.

Weirdly enough that's exactly what I'll be doing in a couple of hours!

No we're in Bergerac at the moment but were far too hungover for the drive over today. Will be heading that way tomorrow though, I'll keep a look out!

Good. Barely sleep these days which is also ace.

No wine for me. I drank too much when I moved and sickened myself. I miss waking up with red teeth though.

Yeh am off to Lanzarote in a few weeks so trying to be good myself sir. Do like a wee bottle of red but I get crap hangovers off it

Took me a bit time to work this out as well but mentioned this to a sommelier once and he advised to stop mixing it with petrol.
Was life changing.

Apparently not. He said to make sure to check the production number on the buckfast bottle as well as the monks piss in some bottles.

Last time I had red wine in any kind of quantity I was on the settee watching a couple of films. Still fancied a little more after 1 bottle so I opened a second. After polishing that off I felt decidedly ill and given the distances involved I opted to yack it up by the drain in the garden rather than trusting myself to get up stairs to the bathroom.

Afterwards I went off to the bathroom to tidy myself up and then returned to the garden with the intent of cleaning up only to find the dog licking up the last few splashes. I was simultaneously disgusted with myself and the dog but also very pleased that the majority of the cleaning work (the chunky bits) had been took care of.
