Referees and Everton 2022/2023

Taylor pulled Pickford in the first 10 minutes and warned him for time wasting, a direct result of Der Furer moaning about Newcastle.

All the refs wanna be mates with jurgen the dirty German. The rat Taylor nearly orgasimed in his kechs when he gave Onana his yellow, same as he did for Pickford. Deffo got a Kenny Divy Doglead and Ray the nonce Clemence pic on his wall at home.

Wasnt there (it may be an urban myth) supposedly a retried Scottish referee who did an after dinner speech at a Rangers event and proudly boasted “my greatest achievement is that Celtic never win an old firm game I refereed”.

the thing is, the game is awash with money and these guys earn between £40k and £70k and spend every match day taking crap and abuse from 17 year olds on that much per week. The ground if very fertile for crime syndicates to bribe these guys to ensure the results go their way?

OTE for the ‘Elite UEFA’ officials (?) is significantly higher that that.
According to this they can earn £200k over a season.

Ref biased was meant to be removed by VAR but it’s had the opposite effect and now it’s even more blatant, if the Ref gets something wrong then it SHOULD be VAR job to get the correct decision but unfortunately it’s the same biased people running that.
Prime example is the non foul on Mandy yesterday or the offsides in recent game that seem to be based on who you play for and who your against determine the result

I just despise VAR now, but it looks like it’s here to stay despite being negative for the game. Can’t even celebrate what seems to be a regulation goal as there could have been a minor infringement in the build up. I thought it was to stop the absolutely blatant offsides missed that ends in a goal, such as a couple Aubamayeng scores against us when he was a foot offside. Ruling them out from something that needs forensic investigation is bloody dumb and clearly not a human error if it’s that close.

After seeing replays of Coady’s, it honestly looks like he was behind the ball and the offside line looked to be well in front of any part of his body. There was no “obvious error” at all in any part of it, the goal should have stood.

Refs are corrupt and are too easily influenced by crowds and managers, such as the neighbours whining prick. Or sucks extra when you have a bellend like Taylor in charge of big games when they just aren’t good enough referees.

Thankfully there new technology that coming in the pl next year and is in the CL and WC this year, it a sensor in the ball and loads of cameras and it’s done by a computer which can tell instantly if the players on or off

It's not just us, the standard of referees is really poor at the moment.

I've said it before but Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor are the only two I have any confidence in, the others are universally terrible.

Was good to see Michael Oliver ignore the VAR referee yesterday. Seem to remember a ref doing that in a derby a couple of years back.

Why didn't VAR ask Taylor to have a look at VVD tackle on Onana yesterday?
Everyone in the ground could see it was a bad one.
The verbal gymnastics from Shearer and Mills on MotD to justify it were simply insulting. "Look if that's given as a red it wouldn't get overturned. It's definitely a yellow."

What. The. Actual. Fudge.

Shearer doubled down of course, with his usual nonsense about how everyone should be free to clatter goalkeepers. This is the same guy who praises every single player who crashes to the floor at the merest tickle in the penalty area - how many times have we heard him say "if you feel any contact you're entitled to go down"? But when Bowen drags his trailing boot across Mendy's chest that's fine? When Willock dips his shoulder and runs straight through the Palace keeper like he's sacking a quarterback, that's fine? Pretty sure those keepers felt contact.

Probably wandered off-topic slightly, but the point is that most refs are wildly inconsistent. Now either that's accidental and they're all just fairly rubbish at their jobs.... Or they are there to guide matches along certain "narratives", and they do THAT very well indeed. There's a reason, IMHO, that the crowds at the match and the TV audiences at home are not allowed to hear the conversations between the refs and the VAR team.

The pundits make things worse by criticising correct decisions (like Shearer's ranting yesterday about the two incidents I referred to above) and praising bad ones, like the failure to give VVD the red for his deliberate foul on Onana. Their agenda is more clear, based mostly on loyalty towards certain clubs: wait and see how many times Richarlison will be accused of diving now he's joined Spurs. If it gets mentioned at all, it'll be in the context of how he's "grown as a player since leaving Everton, removing the diving from his game".

Worth every penny mate, salt of the earth they are, beyond reproach!
