The outcome of the Fulham game has changed now in that we need to win, not to almost rubber stamp our safety, but to ensure we arent big favourites for the drop.

Make no mistake even if we did win we are still well in amongst them. This thread will say otherwise though.
It hasn't changed at all. We were expected to lose today and our hope three games ago prior to Chelsea, Spurs, and United was that we could mitigate the damage and somehow be outside the bottom three. Mission accomplished so far. Now, it's up to us to beat Fulham - which was always non-negotiable if we want a clear path to survival without going to the last day.

I still think we want as many teams in it as possible for as long as possible. That means we will need to win next week to keep pace with a lot of teams.

We dont want to be cut adrift in a bottom 4 or you are the mercy of a side getting even just 1 unexpected 3 points. We need to put some results together and not allow ourselves to be in a 3 from 4 scenario.

I would say the other results today have changed the complexion of the Fulham game somewhat. Its now a must win, but for different reasons - just so we can cling on in there.

The path to survival starting to look clear. Need to finish ahead of Saints, Leicester and Forest. Thinking about that Monday night football game on May 1st makes me feel unwell

I think this is a good point. 35 points starting to look difficult for us, Saint, Foxes and Forest. 36 points really starting to look like enough. Foxes having a superior goal difference is a concern

Path to 37 points is home wins v Fulham and Bournemouth and 4 points away to Palace and Leicester.

It's not that impossible when you break it down like that.

Forest have the hardest task to try to break down a run of games where 9-10 points looks realistic. Even Southampton at home they could just be held to 1-1.

It's not pleasant but I honestly expect us to get the points we need at the expense of Fulham, Bournemouth and Leicester.
Bournemouth game is indelibly etched into my mindset as a decider on who stays up.
Our home games alone up until then will yield us four points if we're lucky. Away is a must win at Leicester and a draw at Wolves. On 35 points at last fixture.

Of course we do.

I think I am the type of fan who wouldn't want us to stay up if we lost our next eight matches and stayed up purely because three other sides did too. I want to see our players seize this programme now and prove their right to be in the Premier League. Give us something to cheer - instead of shivering in fear looking for favours from Super Frank Lampard and sundry charlatans.

IF Cooper is Sacked they're down Regardless, I don't see them getting the manager bounce with the fixture list they have.

If I'm forest, I Stick with Cooper, he might get something in these last few games out of the players.

Fairly pleased with today's other results Leicester losing is a good thing with city next up just looked at forest next 4 games united arsenal Brighton Brentford if we can beat Fulham would look a whole lot better Bournemouth away to spurs next we could be back above them also

I'd say a draw v Fulham is clinging on as then realistically have to win an away game otherwise will be a very low points total going into final day.

This could be a realistic run if Fulham isn't won:

Fulham- draw- 28 points

Palace- 0-0 or something- 29

Newcastle- lose

Leicester- draw- 30

Brighton- lose

Man. City- lose

Wolves- 1-1- 31 points.

You are not in a great state at all if you've only got 31 points going into the final day, it's basically beat Bournemouth and prey for 2-3 results elsewhere situation.

Dyche has done a superb job rallying everyone up at Goodison, he needs to really roll the dice away now I think as the above shows even draws on the road might not be enough if the Goodison form drops off.
