It only matters if we’re out after round 38. All teams from Southampton up to Wolves will be keeping an open mind. All 9 have had important wins recently mixed with inconsistent performances.

All 9 teams will have a split fan base, some confident of survival and others certain of relegation.

S'ton and Forest for me are undoubtedly done for.

Leicester I'm wary of still. I mean they've lost 11 of the last 15 games and are 2nd bottom for a very good reason, but I'd be hoping that there's no new manager bounce for them.

We have to get ourselves on the 30 point level next week and make sure we dont rely on staying ahead of Leicester.

I think if they appoint Marsch as their new manager they will bounce like a lead brick.

We deserved to lose today and it should been by more goals. We have to beat Fulham and at least a win at Palace or Leicester.

You look at our position and the money that’s been spent. It’s a disgrace isn’t it. What really angers me is the attitude of some people at the club. Make no mistake there are people there who resent what’s happened with the protests. They love to virtue signal , oh my they love that, when things go wrong they show what they are really about though which I find repulsive and that needs changing if this once great club can truly move on.

The only people I would feel for if the worst was to happen is the fans. I don’t like some of our fans from personal experience but one thing I would praise all of them to the hilt for is they always turn out in numbers . Look at appalling away record and they sell out time and again. Sublime.

We are in a lot weaker position than some of the herd would like to think we are.
