Look at Palace’s recent results before playing us, there’s no guarantee Newcastle will come out and put 5 past us. If we get the players we need back and make it horrible for them under the lights we could get a result.

Liverpool beat United 7-0 and then scored 1 goal in the following 4 games.

Newcastle lost 3-0 last week.

We’re not the favourites on Thursday but I’d probably be more worried if they’d have lost today and really needed the win on Thursday.
This, always this, teams are always more dangerous on the back of a defeat.

Well, good teams, not Everton.

Looking at the table West ham are now safe along with Bournemouth, Wolves and Palace. The 3 spots will be taken by anyone of the bottom 5 although I think Leicester will get out, and if that is the case I think it is better they beat Leeds in midweek because Leeds last 4 is tough. Leeds is who we need to be chasing down, their next 2 is Leicester and Bournemouth followed by City, Newcastle, West Ham and Spurs.

you certainly make a couple of decent points ,however when you say we’re not favourites you mean we’re about 3/1 outsiders . Thursday is going to be tough but it’s another game when we really need something

Newcastle showing they still mean business, plenty to play for

I revise my prediction - we will lose to them as they are still fighting for CL

Newcastle 0
Leicester 1
Brighton 0
Wolves 1

30 entering the final day - dead and buried.
That’s why I am thinking conservative play….defensive minded players across the pitch - dogs of war to try and get points….not sure being attack minded against the bar codes at home is going to yield what we want
