I’m the biggest optimist and best Evertonian going - I don’t have to tell you that. But as far as I’m concerned, we’re going down with at least 2 games to spare.

And assuming we do go down, it won’t make any difference to the backing I give to the club. I’ll continue to check results and tune in to the odd game when convenient.

Brighton are pushing for Europe and playing lovely football every match maintaining very high standards. It would be a huge shock if forest beat them even with injuries and home advantage
I think home advantage is huge under lights at particular grounds. they why I said forest should take it and we would end up second bottom. I would be suprised if we got any kind of result v leicester on Monday because of similiar. we need 3 point tomorrow or we have 1 foot in the championship.

Nothing has changed. We needed to beat newcastle at the start of the week. We needed to beat newcastle after leeds vs leicesters draw gave us an opportunity and we need to beat newcastle after notts forsets result. We win we go above the 3 of them. Leeds only one goal better off than us now. If you had a chance you would want to play a must win match at Goodison Park. Its ******* terrible that we are in this position and it was always going to the wire. If you are going the match tomorrow just shout for everything. Stay in the game from the first whistle to the last . Yes its up to us AGAIN. Good luck to all of you blues. Keep your heads up. UTFT.

Club cant get promoted if its dissolved from all the financial ineptitude, creating an unsustainable operation if we face the drop
Financial worries are all for another day, the here and now is to get enough points, I don’t think the FFP issues will come to anything, we run our finances past the PL before spending so we must have kept within the rules, if we have why were the PL letting us spend.

If we go down it’s because we are one of the worst 3 teams in the league. I appreciate the financial ramifications of that but I don’t think it would bankrupt us as some have suggested. We’d get £50million for Onana plus £35 for Pickford. That alone covers the lost revenue from tv money. Plus their wages and Mina, Townsend, Davies, contracts ending saves a further £400k a week, which is £20 million a year. The fact there are several groups pursuing investment in Everton despite the prospect of relegation and a financial investigation tells us people with knowledge of running a football business believe they can make Everton a success.
I absolutely want us to stay up, but I think some of the predictions of dropping to league 1 or rotting in the lower leagues for years is possible but I think we’d be more likely to do what Villa or Newcastle did and come back up after 1 or 2 seasons.

Problem is they were'nt building a stadium at the time with the owner looking for investment to help secure the funds to complete the build.

I just mean in terms of shape. He played another forward and we lost any control we might have had in midfield with 5 in there.
Yes I would have done that myself. But shape is irrelevant when you show no intent to press, tackle or get forward. That performance was an absolute embarrassment given the circumstances
