There is a concern Everton won't adapt very well in the championship. It could prove a bit of a culture shock to some of our overpaid and underperforming players. Games may be tougher than expected due to teams wanting to generate valuable publicity, from beating such a long-serving top-flight club!

Our boardroom, DOF, and coaching staff will have to demonstrate a different skill set in order to flourish in the championship. This is something not many Evertonians have seen evidence of in the last few years. Gigantic decisions will have to be made on contracts, recruitment, and the continuous development of the stadium.

It's very difficult to forecast how Everton would do one division lower but I don't think anybody would be surprised if we struggled. You have to understand a lot of clubs that go down are seasoned veterans. They know what it means and have experience of how to get on top of things. I'm concerned that if we do drop Everton will continue to make daft decisions on and off the pitch which may unfortunately drag us down even deeper.

After watching Forest win last night I've decided to go out tonight and avoid anything to do with the match. The barcodes were excellent against Spurs and are the perfect example of where we should be as a club after all the investment we've had in playing staff. I will check the score tomorrow morning. If by some miracle we win I'll weep like a baby into my cornflakes and kick myself for not watching it. The truth is though I can't put myself through the wringer to watch another 90 minutes of this utterly uninspiring gaggle of pretenders mug us all off yet again.

Lads, beat Newcastle tonight and the table turns on its head, we leapfrog a good few teams, Forests win changes nothing if our team to their job too. Miles from over yet.

Lose tonight then I will have worries.
Positivity that’s the spirit and we need plenty of it on and off the field, we won’t lose tonight we’ll be 15th from bottom and put some stress on other teams below us.

I Can’t look past these next 6 games or worry about what will happen should we go down, stay up, the board and owner etc - we need to focus on the things we can control which is our support and backing for the team for the next 6x95minutes - everything else is irrelevant currently.

Once our fate is known then we can focus on the rest.

What are talking about the championship for, if you are not going to tonight’s vital match then you certainly won’t be going to any games in the championship. By the way Everton will be playing in the premier league next season!!

Just a thought, would a draw be better tonight?

It would be Leeds, forest and Leicester may be more complacent and we can pick aware at them slowly
A draw for me is the fallback option if we dont win, but for me we need to go for the win, we cant keep thinking a draw is good based on acting as though we may get 3points the following game - when that is never a cert no matter what the run we are on-thing is Lose tonight and Leeds win Sunday and we are 5points behind them considering most have been acting like they are the team we have to be ahead for weeks

Well I'm deffo watching it, albeit on a little telly in the sulking room. It's either that or suffering "Kirstie and Phils love it or list it" and "I'm a celebrity South Africa" lol

Very surprised by that result last night. Saw the first 30 mins and Brighton were just moving through the gears. Fair play to Forest, must have really changed things around in the second half. Huge game tonight even bigger now. Not dead and buried if it goes pear-shaped, as we still have a chance on Monday. Looking a bit grim though.

Let's hope that Forest used up all their remaining luck for the season last night.

What worries me more than anything is: I look at the teams around us and they all have goals in their team. Sadly you look at ours and wonder where the next goal is coming from.
Was worrying back in August too mate. To send a premiership side in to a season with no strikers is criminal. It was odds on we'd be in a scrap come April. Even amateur teams recognise this complicated fact that a strike force is a must have to compete.
