Need pick up atleast a point at brighton and city, then hope results go for us. Will have to beat atkeast bournemouth/wolves just hope gd helps us aswell

Defo. Doesn't help they're right in the mix for Europe next season. Games against sides who have nothing to play are what you need this time of season.

Tbh I think if they lose v Man Utd and Liverpool win midweek they're going to be about 6 or 7 points off Europe. Let's hope they are flat.

I disagree completely.

Those two represent fixtures we can do a spectacular in.

We have to embrace those games and I think we will.

Let's put it this way: if we come out of those with zero points I'll be surprised.

Brighton has been a decent ground for us in the last 3 seasons where we've come away with at leat a point from the last 6 games. City in the middle of that CL SF could get a real surprise from us.

There's points in these two games. We haven;t had a 'spectacular' since Arsenal. I think we still have one in us before we get onto the Wolves and B'mouth games.

From what I saw tonight I'm optimistic we can do this now, more so than aI was before the night began.

The other teams, and seemingly half this forum, have written us off getting a single point in the next two games. Anything we get therefore is a bonus. Imagine we come away with 2 points there or a surprise win? Would put us in a good position.

We right in the relegation fight, we didn’t go under tonight when we could have, we fought back, and there’s still 12 points to play for.

Superb performance and two goals scored away from home for the first time since mid-March.
Stunning atmosphere, too. We as fans really got the team over the line.

As Carragher said: that is a massive point for us.

I really can't see Leeds getting another point all season. And after next weekend Forest have got an exceptionally difficult run-in. So if we get one point before the last game of the season and then beat Bournemouth that will almost certainly be enough.
This time last year were 5 points adrift and firmly ensconced in the relegation zone. We can see salvation!

COYB

I think Southampton could easily do something against Forest. They are still fighting for their lives and showed enough against Newcastle and Arsenal to say they can cause Forest problems.

That wasn't the point. Your point was that Davies would be better than him out there, and in the center of the park

Iwobi > Davies in the middle all day
Actually, my point was having players with character and mental fortitude in the side, in any position, over the wet cardboard snowflakes of Keane, iwobi, holgate and Godfrey.

I stand by that line of thinking. Even though iwobi scored tonight - he was atrocious and went missing throughout or caused us problems - he’s a chancer and coward of a footbalker and I wouldn’t be arsed if he didn’t play for us again mate.

I’d take Tommy d over him all day.

The upcoming Forest game with S'ton maybe holds the key. Lose or draw that and they wont win another and we can get past them. Leeds wont win again either IMO.

A couple of draws and a win gets us safe. It could well be a draw and a win does.

That was a fantastic away point tonight. It gives us more than a chance.

We just need to keep pressing for wins. Do that and we'll get one and maybe a couple of draws...or even 2 wins.

Not getting beat tonight was enormous.
This is it really. Work to do but if we can manage to scrape together 4 or 5 points which is definitely possible, it could see us safe

Our defence is looking so, so poor at the moment though. Hard to see us not shipping a fair few goals in these next two fixtures.
