Looking a bit closer at city, obviously they’ve got Madrid twice either side of our game, but think they’ve been laboured in their last 3 in the league. Failed to put Leeds to bed Saturday, struggled first half against West Ham, and got a narrow win against Fulham. Think they’re due to drop points somewhere and hopefully another fully committed performance like today and the goodison factor can get us at least a point.

Brighton will probably beat them 5-1 the way this run in is all going.

Great shout that.

Good looks don't go towards making a good manager though👍

Leeds v Newcastle is 1st up on Saturday 12:30

Forest play 3pm on Saturday v Chelsea (A)

We play 2pm on Sunday v Man City (H)

Then Leicester play on Monday again at home to the RS

If we could get a point from City that would be absolutely massive, we can see what Leeds and Forest do, hopefully they both lose and a point would see us above Forest.

If we average a point from the last 3, I think that will see us over the line, just.... whatever happens against City we gotta go to Wolves and look to win that game, if we do then the Bournemouth game we can more or less relax.

a draw and win guarantees safety IMO, because Leeds and Leicester would need to win two of their last 3.
I don’t believe you, not without a graph or something to demonstrate this scenario.

Won’t be upset if you’re right. Huge game which the crowd should be right up for!

Part of me thinks playing City may also put some perspective into the fans, it’s coming st the right time.

Just can’t shake the Fulham game where everyone just assumed we’d walk the game just by turning up, and got turned over with great ease.

and the gd aswell gives us another point on them

Chelsea have the monkey off their back and will brush them aside, Arsenal will tonk them and they are not getting anything in Selhurst on Palace’s last home game
That's my view too.

Forest's race is run. We have to get a point to get ahead of them and stay there. I'd be surprised if that wasn't the case. They have the worst run in of all.

I'd defy anyone to make a case for that pile of tripe Forest getting another point.
My only worry is they're playing Lampard's Chelsea, and yes Chelsea should get the win but you just don't know what side is going to show up, they've been kin horrible under Frank just like under us.

In saying that, we're gonna stay up, I've always felt that way, even if it hasn't been pretty.

"This is Southampton's 11th consecutive Premier League season. Only the 'big six' have been in longer, which is why they were given 'long-term shareholder' status in Project Big Picture.

This was the plan to reshape English football, formulated by the biggest clubs in the autumn of 2020, but disappeared amid the European Super League row that followed."
