It can all change quickly. If Leicester beat Liverpool at home in their next game and we lose to City we’re back in the bottom three so no one should be celebrating too much yet. It’s nice to have it back in our hands though.
I’m a bit peed that Liverpool have been allowed back into the top 4 race, but at least it means they have to go all out to win every game, which includes ones of our rivals Leicester. But if we play like we did tonight for the next 3, we’ll be fine. I said in another thread get the place bouncing v city next week, keep it tight and you just never know. This ‘kin club!

Mad that Southampton done exactly what Zat has been crying out for us to do completely forgetting they actually had to win football matches as well as sign 'wonderkids'

I wasnt aware they had signed any though Kotchap (sp) and Lavia are 2 of their best players with Sulemana needing work and time.

Bazunu is the closest to a wonderkid when they signed him but as the keeper it could be similar to when we signed Pickford from a poor sunderland team.

Yes, totally agree - sound logic.

Coleman can’t play forever when hopefully he is fit, so he can be back up/alternate with Patterson, and we sign another to cover Coleman and Patterson.

Depends on how were going to play. If its quick fire counter attacking then that doesnt fit with an ageing Coleman...but if its as a backup for Patterson for a season on low wages...we should also sign an 18 year old to develop.

I also think going 2 points clear forces Leeds and Leicester into going for wins against far superior opposition in two of their three games which will leave them open.

It’s probably not too adventurous for Leicester as they like to attack but Allardyces plan for Leeds is probably now out the window.

Very good point. Knowing they need to win can leave them exposed.

For us, a draw against City would be great.

It feeds me even more knowing how let's face it...every other team and their fans wants us down yet we pull out a performance like that! Hehe
I haven't had that experience at all. Everyone I've seen wants us to stop up. It's the "a club like Everton should be in the premier league" line every time. It's sympathetic bordering on condescending
