We need to win, Leeds to lose and Leicester to lose or draw. In that event we are safe. Horrible that we go first on the weekend, but might play into our hands as we put the pressure on both if we win.

We MUST win though.

I go along with this but for different reasons. It may turn out to have not been crucial to go to Wolves and win but there is a chance that if we don't and the others do, it takes it out of our hands for the final day which is a horrible situation to find ourselves in.

To combat that we need to win to keep that control and heap pressure on the rest.

Leeds would likely be ahead on GD in that scenario tbh. Could be we have to hammer Bournemouth.
Hmmm.

I cant see Leeds winning twice. If they did it'd be by an odd goal each time. That'd mean we'd need a two goal nil win against either Wolves or B'mouth to be on equal GD.

I just cant see any team around us in this fight winning once let alone twice.

IMO there'll be draws and losses and maybe one win in the remaining 8 relevant games.

Yep. The Wolves game is effectively the Crystal Palace game last year. It’s a must win.

I’m talking about us both ending on 35. 4 points for Leeds and 3 for us. Every goal is critical.

IMO I dont see Leeds or Forest and certainly not Leicester winning their next games. I think drwas are the best on offer. That probably goes for us too.

If we start the B'mouth game knowing we 'just'\ have to win, that'll be as goods as it's going to get.

Am i right Monday next week is the earliest we can be safe? if we beat Wolves then have to wait for Newcastle to Leicester on Monday and hope West Ham get at least a draw of Leeds

I know, but Leeds get to 35 with a single win and a draw. We have a one goal GD advantage. If we get 35 points we'll have done it via a win.

I cant see either winning by more than a goal.

If we beat Wolves then West Ham beat Leeds that'll be it.

Leicester will be demolished by Newcastle.

I think playing first gives us an advantage.

Im not worried at all now, they way we have played over the last 3 games is like nothing the other can do, that first half hour against City walks our next two games..... if we turn up
