He did fail miserably when it came to the Maupay deal, but everyone deserves a second chance and it Looks to me like his no1 priority is he has come in to build an actual Infrastructure in this club first, to break away from the rot inside us. something we have been carrying for far too long. And in the long run if he gets this set up/structure right than that will pay off a hell of a lot more than one random messed up signing ( If we stay up that is )….ultimately the decision to buy, sell or renew contracts will be his. If you’re the Line Manager you need knowledge and instinct to make critical decisions. Even in transition, he failed to plug an obvious gap that blokes on here could see 18 months ago.
That alone is enough to convince me he’s not a football man and that is an absolute requirement of a DoF.
I believe Garner and Onana were both down too him which isn't bad going is it...
