Is that the forest you've been telling us wouldnt get another point for about the last 5 weeks?
You've brushed that under the carpet a bit lively 🤣
Yes mate, that's the one.

I dont brush under the carpet I say I get it wrong on ocassion.

Imagine getting some relief by pointing out my wrong prediction. Is that where you are right now? Pitiful.

If we're in the bottom three after tomorrow then you'll have something to moan about. Until then, cheer up. We got a very precious point today.

I'm not going to lie - it's really only the financial implications that are making me hugely fearful of the drop

The 'prestige' of playing in the top flight, the long unbroken period of being in it, playing against our neighbours and the other mega teams - I'm honestly not that arsed about giving that stuff up, TBH it's all become a bit of a drain over the past few years

We're not even plucky little Everton anymore

Scant consolation, but I know a home and away Cov supporter (in his mid 40s), who goes all over with his son. They both love it win or lose, regardless the length of the drive. They love the footy, the wins, the possibility of promotion, and most importantly he loves the time he spends with his lad, which is priceless. And their club has been a basket case for years.

I used to have that with my dad and Everton whilst growing up. It’s exhausting, maddening, sometimes boringly predictable now, sprinkled with the occasional lightning bolt of ecstasy when we chuck a rare half decent performance in.

It will be hellish and sickening if we do drop, but we’ll still put ourselves through it in the hope those sorts “good times” with mates and family return, which they will, hopefully in my lifetime.
Top post that mate

Preston North End fan coming in peace.

My best mate is a Toffee and I’m well aware of the issues within your club. It’s a sad, sad state. One of the stalwarts of the English game and potentially playing us next season…

Only really created an account because of Tom Cannon (going right to the very top is that boy). But the fact that you are all so desperate is really quite sad.

FWIW, I don’t think Leeds will win tomorrow. I have got a weird feeling Leicester might pick up 6 points from 6.

Good luck. Stay up. Loan us TC.

Cheers.

There's a whole bunch of us on here that will keep you entertained and distracted my friend - use the community to your benefit and let us all help you on your tough days

God knows I've come on here many times and been cheered after tough periods of my life
Second this

Just remember @Aries that, at the end of the day, what a set of players playing a football match do isn't directly affected by you so try and disconnect yourself from that aspect of it as much as possible. Whatever happens the club will still exist, as will we 😉

I need us to survive. Everton is All I have these days. I get that there’s more important things in life such as health etc and of course that’s correct, but since my wife left me a couple of years ago Everton is literally the only thing that keeps me going.
I’m sorry to hear of your current situation mate, but maybe the way to look at it is Everton will still survive if relegated and hopefully it will only be a blip and we will be back up before you know it. If you are a match goer, the same Saturday rituals will still apply and if not, there will possibly be more television coverage of us. Hopefully it won’t come to this but it definitely isn’t the end if we do get relegated. Keep your chin up!
