Keep reading Smith Masterclass, Newcastle hit the woodwork 3 times, there was 2 off the line and 2 ridiculous sitters
Smith has massively gambled by hoping they could hold on, that they can beat West Ham and that we don’t beat Bournemouth. I thought they’d have more of a go just to try and put their safety in their own hands.

I guess needing to win then we have to start the game on the front foot.

Needing a draw I had a feeling Dyche would have us sitting deep from the off and letting Bournemouth have the ball and that would never have ended well. We need a noisy, up for it Goodison and a high tempo game plan.
Yeah my thoughts as well. Lot more clarity now with as you say, a vociferous Goodison behind us with a clear task ahead of us.

As much as I would like to think that we would be professional going for a win regardless, its on a subconscious level that I worry we would play it safe if only a draw required, recipe for disaster in the last ten that.

... then conceding a goal to one of those free kicks where Pickford offers 3/4 of the goal to aim at and the taker duly obliges, nestling it into the top corner, in the 93rd minute.
Yeah someone really needs to get Pickford to sort that crap out. It’s like Sunday league level stuff.

Ok. Know what is required now. To be fair we have been gifted so many opportunities to get out of this mess and not taken them. Get it done or don’t deserve to play at this level. Simple
And no tears from these failures if they let us down.
