It’s felt like the longest season of all time and there was even talk of us being mathematically down last week. As it is; we are going into the last game out of the relegation zone, with a game at Goodison to play. There have been so many different occasions this season when we didn’t think that would be possible. How many of us would’ve took this position after the Wolves home game? Southampton game? Brighton game? Newcastle game? Fulham game? In fact even after that diabolical January window I thought it was curtains, pardon the pun.

To have it in our hands in front of a raucous Goodison Park seemed impossible so the fact that we have it, and we can get ourselves over the line tomorrow can’t be a bad thing. One more game, just get it done Everton.
Mad if we survive given how terribly we’ve been run and how bad we’ve been on the pitch. You’d think it can’t get any worse but then I thought that after last year. Need to smash them from set pieces and need a hero to step up. My money is on big Yerald.

Nothing left to say, we know what we have to do.

Its On.

Come on Everton.
We have to take care of our game
Leicester have to take care of their game + wait on another game's outcome
Leeds have to take care of their game + wait on the outcome of two other games

If we rise to the occasion we'll be safe. If we dont then another team - or both of them - may pass us.

TBH, I dont think I could take another round of games where us and two / three other teams KO at different times / days and the agony is spread over a long period.

KO 4.30 and it's over come what may for everyone by 6.30.

I'm not nervous anymore. The last time I was nervous was the final minute of the Newcastle - Leicester game. We're in the right position to survive and all nerves are gone.

All of that mate, we've given ourselves a foundation, the best chance and we now need to follow through, the circumstances are as inadverse as they could be in the context we find ourselves in, a home game against a relegation rival up to a couple of weeks ago. We know what we have to do and the team will be backed to the hilt. Goodison will be like a bear pit.

Im strangely calm, but with razor sharp focus.

So today, enjoy, be calm, kiss your girl, drink and eat well, laugh & enjoy because tomorrow - we go to war. ;)

The sack the board chants should begin and banners should be out the second the final whistle is blown regardless of the outcome. There should be no wild celebrations, just a cheer of relief and then we need to get to work.
You can have the sack board chants then celebrate afterwards. Why can’t you do both.

You do not need to start working on next season Sunday night if we win.

It’s not working on next season. It’s doing what we should’ve done last season. We cannot waste another second, have you learned nothing from last year? There’s nothing to celebrate clinging onto survival by the skin of our teeth. It’s time to take action.

I’m hoping we’re in such a good position with ours and the other games, that we can start the “sack the board/kenwright and co, it’s time to go/panda nonce, it’s time to go”chants can begin at soon as possible, half time would be ideal.

If we can’t so early, I’m hoping people make their feelings known after the relief has passed when we’re safe, and we are loud in our protests.

It's in the balance, but tilted in our direction from the off.

We're in the best seat there is. If we dont get the win then we may be punished.

I'll say this though: the threat to us was much greater in last week's games IMO when Leeds faced a WHU team barely back off the plane from Holland. Leeds massively blew their chance and I think that'll be the last big threat to us.
I agree, Leeds have probably had their chance. It was also disappointing to see Newcastle sharing a point with Leicester. That just adds pressure on us to win now that a draw might not be enough.
