His points per game is hampered by having to turn around a big fat leaky ship that was about to hit a massive floating turd. His new manager bounce basically just got the players off the floor into a semi functioning team. He should do better with a clean start and his message drilled in over a pre-season. If he doesn’t, then he’d normally be gone, if we can afford it. But can’t see the first half of next season being Lampard bad, even if we recruited no-one.

What bizarre comment..
When asked if he could see where the next point was coming from during that dire run of defeats during the previous season...he laughed. Any decent manager would have replied that he had some decent players in the squad and with better fitness levels and a more effective set up results would come etc. As any competent manager would have done.

If he given a striker who can score we be no where near down there.. we havnt had 1 all season
I think we need a bit more than that in order to be well clear. We definitely need not only quality up front, but more depth. I think we should be looking at players at clubs like Brentford. Tough, strong, fast, that work hard and most importantly are fit to play the games.

If the blueprint for a Sean Dyche team was yesterday's performance and it was well executed for nicking games 1-0. I think we need a couple of strikers that do the above. I think we'll be stretched for resources and the manager is going to be working on a shoestring.

Honestly, there has been a few occasions this season I thought we were gone. That November - January period was evil. How Lampard survived the Bournemouth Massacres was bad enough, but it was so obvious we were going to lose the key games to Wolves and Southampton. Even when Brighton destroyed us he stayed. I’ve got no doubt at all in my mind that in January we were the worst team in the division. I thought we were on to finish bottom.

Dyche came in and I wasn’t punching the air with that appointment, then the club hamstrung him by that absolutely disgraceful January transfer window, an act of self-sabotage if ever there was one. It was like playing a Playstation game and putting it on the very hardest mode, I can remember how angry we all felt when the window closed and every single club had strengthened and we hadn’t. I thought we were gone.

Beating Arsenal was huge, it reminded me of the wins against Man U and Chelsea last season, absolutely desperate wins against excellent sides. Something only Goodison can conjure.

The Fulham game was so bad, and on the same day Bournemouth got themselves safe beating Spurs away, it felt like we had ran out of whatever steam we had. Newcastle dismantling us was another occasion I just thought, “nope, we are gone.” But in the midst of that we were getting late goals and late points, Simms at Chelsea, Keane v Spurs, Mina at Wolves, we were still in there scrapping.

Yesterday, the release of tension was beautiful. But the fact remains we came one goal away from relegation, or one Pope save last week, or one Pickford penalty save v Leicester.

This cannot happen again. No club on the planet has played as many seasons in a top flight as Everton. What is it now, 121 years? I honestly think it doesn’t take that much to turn us into a lower mid table side for next season, and then onwards from there. We all know we need changes at the club, but thank God we are not doing it as a Championship club, but were we belong, in the top flight.

Well to be honest m8, and like you even said yourself. Today really was an evening of Relief..

There is so much work that has to get underway ASAP with this club now ( on and off the field )
or we will be heading back down the same path. Only this time it will be a different outcome.....

Hopefully the resignations of the board will be dealt with by the end of the week, and processes will be underway..
Thats a different issue.

3 times that happened apparently, just how gullible can you be, especially in this age?
Some bird in the lowers was telling people yesterday leicesters goal was disallowed and it was 0-0... At HT, a good 10 mins after the had deffo scorea.

No idea where she got that info from like,.I knew the score I had updates coming in but everyone around her was celebrating haha
