No they were not? Absolutely no one thought he should still be in a job at the time of the Southampton game.
I was more in the Give Him Time camp than most and agreed with him getting the world cup break to work with them, but I flipped after Brighton, that was a farce. How he got Southampton and West Ham I can't understand.

I agree but Leeds West ham and I think Palace still in this. Leicester and Wolves will be fine in my opinion.
It'll be Leeds or us I reckon unless something drastically changes and the likes of Forest gets dragged in. I think Palace are safe. I think West Ham, Leicester and Wolves will all be OK too and start putting together some results. Don't think we'd be in this position had we sacked Lampard sooner.

Big Pats lads on the slide, no Zaha costing them big time.
That run of fixtures looks hellish and you'd hope they would be at least down round the quagmire by end of it.
A saints win today wouldve been a decent result for us, Wolves 6 above and scoring goals a lot more freely than before Lopetegui.
Mon the barcodes this evening

They were up to that game... Using the weak and pathetic excuses....

"No manager could do better"

"Frank just needs a striker in the window"

No! Frank wasnt good enough, I told everyone last season when the signs were there and I was telling everyone this season and STILL taking pelters by the Frank in lot, which was alot, right up to that Southampton game. Most were more focused on the board when the manager was getting us relegated.

Deep down most were thinking zero points from Dyche’s first 2 games, but with hopefully better performances, then the charge starts from there. Already 3 points up on that, can’t forget that.

We’ve finally got our manager swap out of the way, and done it probably as well as we could given the options. Really hope we are are on the upward trajectory (relatively - we’ll still lose lots more games). All about form, momentum and confidence now. Southampton are still on the slide, and hopefully Leeds and Bournmouth don’t turn the corner this weekend. West Ham should be ok but haven’t bottomed out and started climbing like Wolves and Villa. They were terrible against us.

Only worry is that the other teams mentioned like Forest and Palace have the points on the board. As the weeks go by that relieves a lot of pressure. Not a big fan of it ending up “us or Leeds”.

Forest are the ones to watch had a little run. Lucky to beat Leeds and easily could have conceded 5 today.

I think the Leeds game tomorrow is a big one - a win for them there and a gap starts to open.

Dyche has been left with a mammoth task.

There’s enough games though where we don’t need to be desperate for favours. If we play well enough over 17 games and get a decent number of points it will be enough. That’s why it’s crucial we just keep picking up points here and there and keep momentum going. Just avoid the runs of multiple defeats that other teams around us will have.

Really disappointed Southampton couldnt hang on for the draw, but I think it solidifies that Southhampton and Bournemouth will 100% be going down.

Then its the last spot being decided between us, Leeds, West Ham, Forest and Wolves. Wolves have been on a recent tear, but 10 points in the last 5 may be their high point of the season, as they had 13 points after 17. Regardless, the next 5 matches are crucial to survival, with opportunities against Leeds, Villa and Forest and Liverpool and Arsenal struggling. The Forest and leeds ones are the 6 pointers.
