16th is where i expected us to be after weekend, slightly better off to the bottom 3, but as you say it keeps a few above closerIn a way Bournemouth beating wolves ain’t that bad as it keeps them in the mix too.
Hope spurs turn up tomorrow.
16th at the end of the weekend would be a huge boost.
Villa looked good today. Will be a lot more difficult than Leeds. Maybe get some injuries cleared up before then to help?Villa becomes a Leeds-type must-win now
I'm not too bothered by Southampton and Bournemouth winning. I have already priced them in as finishing below us. I mean, we simply HAVE to finish above those two if we want to stay up. Leeds was a direct six-pointer and we've won it. That's huge for the players and the manager. He is in complete control right now - his methods have credibility after 2 home wins with clean sheets. So, we've got a chance. The other results are clearly far from ideal. But we could easily have been the big loser of the day, but thankfully its Leeds.
Weve closed the gap on the sides above too if we want to take positives. We just need one of them to fall away and it could be the difference between 17th and 18th.
Need to back this up again next Saturday back at Goodison
True. Thought Wolves were well away but them and Leicester are now drawn back down into the fight.16th is where i expected us to be after weekend, slightly better off to the bottom 3, but as you say it keeps a few above closer
But if we win the games we targeted we will be ok. You could also argue that an Arsenal win wasn't targeted as they hadn't been beaten until September. If Dyche can sort out DCL and get him playing a few games we will be more thank okThe problem is today is a game we will have targeted while forest, Bournemouth, and Southampton won’t have been thinking about getting points from theirs.
we need as many teams involved as pos, as its never good when we are only chasing 1 or only 1/2 teams involved, I stick to the 3 home games including today and forest away as the games we have to do well inTrue. Every single team at the bottom will be targeting points in every game. There is no "expected defeat" at this time of the season in the dog fight at the bottom. It's why it is always better for the title contenders and Euro fighters to play mid-table sides at this stage than those fighting for their lives. The problem is today is a game we will have targeted while forest, Bournemouth, and Southampton won’t have been thinking about getting points from theirs.

Yeah the more teams who are involved in the battle come April, the better for us.I'm not too bothered by Southampton and Bournemouth winning. I have already priced them in as finishing below us. The Bournemouth results drags Wolves into the mix. If there is one thing worse than being in the relegation battle at this time of the season it is being dragged unexpectedly into it. They may not be mentally prepared for the slog ahead in the way we, Bournemouth, Southampton, and Leeds are.
We need to target every game as an opportunity to get points. The problem is today is a game we will have targeted while forest, Bournemouth, and Southampton won’t have been thinking about getting points from theirs.
Bit of a reality check for Lopetegui and any sense of new manager bounce evaporated I hope. They'll be questioning the new signings. He looked tired at Sevilla and you wonder if he is up for a scrap.I'm not too bothered by Southampton and Bournemouth winning. I have already priced them in as finishing below us.
