We’re still just an injury or two away from Keane and Coleman being back in the first 11. If Dominic Calvert-Lewin also reoccurred an injury we’d have a terrible defence and an extremely average front line.

I think there’s enough depth now in midfield, you’d like to think we have enough bodies we don’t need to ever see some of the shoehorned midfields we’ve seen in recent times with Holgate stepping in or Davies Iwobi in a two.

The first choice back 4 is good. We’d be ok at CB if any of Mina Godfrey Holgate were fit but Keane is a one man relegation wrecking ball so if Tarkowski and Patterson pulled up tomorrow I’d be severely worried. No idea what Vinagre is like but I doubt he’s as solid defensively as Mykolenko either.

Would be nice to be like a normal club and just get Dominic Calvert-Lewin back fit and then not have any more season ending injuries and have an ok season for once without a key player dropping every single week.
Keane and Coleman as backup squad members is something I'm pretty comfortable with. Skipper of ROI and a cb who was representing England not do long ago. Sounds like strength in depth to me

They’re only a backup until the first choice is out. Then they’re first choice. They’ve proven multiple times they’re nowhere near good enough. The improvement this season without them is evidence of this. We look so much better because our right back can pass and cross a ball, and our centre back isn’t falling over themselves like a massive horse or lashing it out of play every other minute.

That applies to all teams, but there's plenty that can't call on the calibe of seamus and Keane when their 1st choice is injured. I'm happy with Patterson so far, but I'm not seeing these Beckhamesque crosses yet. We know keane's frailties, but on his day he's a decent player

Godfrey or Mina will be above Keane in pecking order when either is fit again.

Famous last words but Coady and Tarks had superb fitness records at previous clubs so that is another big tick for the recruitment this summer so hopefully it's just a case of missing odd game with 5 yellows. Coady of course won't be available for either Wolves game so interesting who'll go in alongside Tarks for that.

Still can't believe Wolves loaned him out, they're in trouble at the back now as Collins is suspended for three games after his red the other day.

I would take any single centre back from any other team in the prem before wanting to see Michael Keane in our team. The worst CB in the prem by some distance for me.

I still think both can do a job esp coleman and keane would do fine next to coady/tark he just needs a leader talking him through games.

Are people genuinely concerned about relegation? We have a squad with some depth in defence and midfield and we look difficult to defeat! The tide is turning.

We finished 16th. Any other season that means we’re down. Thankfully we’re the media darling so that kept us up.
Erm... How do you come to that conclusion? 20/19/18/ are down, shirley?!

This doesn’t mean anything, Ireland are a laughing stock and Harry Maguire plays regularly for England. Wish people would stop acting like international caps are some sort of high watermark for players.
