Villa has scored more but they are the only team in the bottom 12 that has. Bournemouth has scored only 1 less point than Everton in the same time period so I wouldn't be too confident of having a comfort zone to be able to see the standard slip. Also, it is difficult to see Leicester continue their awful form, particularly now they have got rid of BR. As I said in Jan, I think Dyche is the best chance for Everton to avoid the drop but I think you need to maintain current form and can't let it drop or EFC may drop too

Villa are coming into a nice run of form. I think of the relegation fodder we are the form team since Dyche, and honestly we seem to be getting better under him. Our issue is going to be holding our nerve.

As for Leicester, I see it differently. I think Rodgers is a good coach, and perfectly fits the squad they have, of talented ball players. I'm not sure they get someone in of his ability/fit. I always felt he would probably keep them up, but that is a bit of a lottery now. Similar to Moyes at West Ham, I would be very happy if they sacked him, and replaced with a Hodgson esque figure.

Our record under Dyche is 11 from 7 I believe. If we keep that form up we end up on 41 points, which will likely be 12th and comfortably safe. But football is played on grass, not paper.

I think we will be fine mate. Left field suggestion, but I wonder if Emery will get bandied about a little, hes done a very good job at Villa.

I would include the Fulham home game and be happy with 4 points from those three games. Six would be great but anything less than three puts us in real trouble.

I agree with that. If you offered me 4, I would happily take that now. Our fixtures ease up after that.

The thing about Spurs is they are actually in good form and don’t really need a change of manager bounce.

Their problem isn’t one of enthusiasm it’s the odd lapses in discipline and concentration.

Without Conte, I’m hoping they’re more prone and not less.

Indeed, he’d be an idiot to jump into a relegation battle with Leicester after Chelsea. It would be a gamble too far…..just wait, rest on a sunny beach, count your money, see what happens, get the PR lads to rebuild the reputation and then look around in the summer…

West Ham aren’t going down. Neither are Leicester or Palace

It’s 3 from us, Soton, Wolves, Forest, Leeds and Bournemouth.

Leicester are 19th with 10 games to go mate, in awful form. They very much could go down. In fact, any on that list could go down.

Everton's 11 point haul since Dyche took over. In that time...

Wolves took 11 points - but they played a game more
Bournemouth took 10 points
Leeds took 9 points
WHU took 9 points - though played a game less
S'ton took 8 points
Leicester took 7 points
Forest took 6 points
Palace took 6 points - and have played a game more

Importantly, we were a basket case in the last 8 games under Lampard, taking 2 points from those games and losing the rest. So the trajectory had to be radically changed...and it was.

Agree Potter is essentially a Coach who needs time on the training pitch and then time for his methods to start working. He will be too busy counting his pay off.

When I saw Potter go the first thing I thought was Emery to Chelsea. When Villa sacked Slippy we were 2 points and 3 places below Everton. That sort of turnaround doesn't go unnoticed and add to that that Villa was probably punching above their weight in attracting Emery (he has a pedigree that doesn't usually look at lower midtable teams that a few seasons ago were in the Championship) so I expect clubs that can offer him a real chance of winning silverware in the short term to be interested in him. But we are unbelievably lucky with our owners as they have a lot of cash and appear to be able to manage the business competently so I am sure they are aware of Emery's value and will be discussing his future with him.

You and Bournemouth are the two form teams in the relegation battle but there are some teams that I would be concerned about. I think Leicester and West Ham have better players and squad than their respective positions suggest and I think they will be safe. I also think Forest will scrape staying up. They have great unity in the club and are consistently picking up points and keeping their heads above water. That leaves Leeds, Wolves and Palace to fight it out for joining Saint for the drop. I think as an overall package of manager and squad I favour Wolves from those three so that leaves Leeds and Palace. But, to contradict all that, Palace got a massive 3 points, and are now on 30 points and I think Roy has enough in him to get them safe. So then it is back to one from Forest, Bournemouth, and Everton and I don't see any of those 3 going down.
