Hopefully a new manager comes in brings in another 2 new signings, CM & CB. Inject some life into the team and we will be fine.

This is why he has run out of road. We need a dose to flush through our fetid institutional intestines, but the dose cannot kill the patient in the process, and those results tell their own tale. They also tell us that appointing a sentimental punt would, essentially, be like taking an overdose.

…months ago, I remember saying 20 points at Christmas is the minimum requirement and posters giving me laughing e-mojos.

it’s the middle of January and we have 19 points. This is very serious.

Due to the postponements we are a couple of games down from where we would be at this stage. We are also 6 points ahead of the relegation places. The reaction now he has gone should provide the boost we need.

I was thinking about this last night. We have really fallen asleep at the wheel. A relegation at any time would be a disaster but now whilst we are building our new stadium could be a nail in the coffin.

If you look down the league we are the worst run club alongside United. If you look outside the SKY 6 you have a large number of clubs who are far better run than us most of which we can no longer out muscle financially. We will probably scrape to survival this year but unless we pull our finger out there is an inevitability about our demise. Especially if Newcastle also survive. We will be in a fight again next season with the 3 promoted clubs, Leeds and perhaps one of the clubs listed below. Brentford (lack of finance)and Brighton (if they were to lose potter) being the most fragile

Leicester - Decent manager, fantastic recruitment, productive academy
Villa - Financial muscle, ambitious young manager, good recruitment & youth
West Ham - Excellent manager, good recruitment, new investment
Wolves - good recruitment, clear strategy
Palace - Ambitious manager, emphasis on youth with strong catchment area
Brighton - Good recruitment, successful director of football model, good coach
Southampton - new investment, clear strategy focused on young players
Brentford - Cutting edge recruitment based on statically analysis

I thought that too until yesterday. That was Norwich that put two past us and we lost too. Very uncomfortable.

The problem Norwich have is that they've now got their main chance of a win out the way having played us

If Newcastle, Norwich, Burnley and Watford could play their remaining fixtures solely against us, we'd be down.

But luckily for us, the rest of the league don't gift those 4 teams wins like we tend to do so we will stay up this season as 3 of them 4 have left themselves with too many wins to get out of their remaining fixtures.

Wouldn't surprise me if about 33 points is enough to survive this season.

We need to get our act together going in to next season and appoint the right man next.

All good points. Thankfully, lower than 40 will be ok this season. Still with what we have available we could set up trying to win the remaining fixtures instead of sitting back and being behind the eight ball every single time out.
