Im not that bored, so forgive me for not looking, but im almost certain the teams you mentioned would have made a few changes.

Currently our wage bill is 182m.
Our income next season would be :

TV money 10m
Parachute payments 40m
Gate receipts 20m
Plus other Commerical income, dont forget we currently have no shirt sponsor and we "lost" all our USM "funding", must be fun trying to find sponsors without knowing what league we will be in.

I know I keep banging this drum and forgive me, its not my intention to be a negative, nor do I pretend to know much, if nothing at all.

So my only point is 182million wage bill, income of around 70m-100m, EFL rules state no more than 39m loses, which we will fail.

Lets hope we dont have to see what EFL hell would look like.

We will Matty. This is what all those years of downgrading expectations has done for our fanbase...knives to gunfights etc.

We are still going to be the biggest draw in that league, as long as Moshiri doesn't pull the plug we will offload a huge amount of the biggest earners and it will be up to our new DoF to chart a better course with players who aren't mercenaries.

That wage figure was when James was here. Now say goodbye to Delph, Siggy, Richarlison, DCL, Allan, Pickford, Mina, Gomes + more that I have probably forgotten and that is going to be halved.

I did that math mate.

We really havent made the massive wage savings people assume.

Now granted we shed a LOT this Summer, but that will only help us NEXT Summer.

Yep, like the Alliance which rivalled the 1880s FL... Us, Villa, Palace, WHU, Wolves and Soton - the mediocre six to form a new league with the likes of Sassuolo, Hoffenheim and Lille.

Wonder if the PL would let us get off scot free like they did the more "marketable" teams last year.... think we know the answer

Oh ive got no illusions other than it being hell.
The wage bill obviously would have to be considerably reduced.
Players on fat contracts would have to be jettisoned with players capable of promoting the club straight away coming in.

Its the reset button , but again , it still can and does get done.
