Relegation

Relegation is a real possibility

Have to pray we can turn in some positive results after the international break

Think we stuck with Benitez too long and it’s probably going to cost us

Never been more miserable or resigned to this than I am right now

I just don’t see where the points are coming from

Only hope is two weeks off can focus us and we can drain Benitez’s poison from the wound

I wouldn't like to be in a situation where we aren't pretty much safe with 10 games to go. Can this bunch of players go on a run when they're up against it? Probably not.

I worry that we'd be seen as a big scalp in games where the opposition shouldn't have much to play for too. Sending Everton down will be a lot of fun for plenty of fans.

Only problem with relegation is that this fragile squad would get battered in the championship. Very weak mentally and 46 games with some cup games added in there will be too much for some.

We could well do a Sunderland. Imagine what remains of this squad after some vultures have swooped in and took our handful of alright players on their day.

Anyone half decent would be off and we'd be left with the wasters on big contracts who nobody wants.

Players have lost all confidence and belief.

Can't see how a manager comes in to get that back then will have to rebuild in the summer.

It's a mess.

I'm worried. We can't create good opportunities at all thanks to the fat man chasing off the two players we had who could.

We need to decide on a manager now and get them whatever creative player they want.

Is there any manager out there anyone thinks can realistically keep us up? I’d even take Allardyce back at this point.

Rooney is a massive gamble but if him or Ferguson can’t sort this then nobody can, we are doomed.

Been saying it for weeks now, we are absolutely gone. We cannot win a football match and games will start running out very soon. One of the teams in the bottom three will pick up a run of results and we will take their place given we are losing every game at the moment. Never thought I’d see it in my lifetime. Very sad

The main problem is that it seems to be a choice of Rooney or Ferguson. Neither should be a million miles close to the job imo.

That’s why you need a structure in place and confidence that the person making the decision knows what we are up against this season.

Kenwright seems to be adamant that is to be an ex blue in Martinez/Rooney/Ferguson…all who could be disasters and send us down.

Moshiri is influenced by big names - Mourinho/cannavaro etc - who have big potential to be disasters.

I’d say this though…in the position we are in now I rather a Mourinho came in as I doubt we’d get near relegation with him, he won’t touch the job though.

If we don’t get relegated this year it’ll be through luck rather than judgment - but surely there are plenty of managers out in world football who should fit the bill ?
