?. I’ve already told my daughter she isn’t allowed a Kopite boyfriend. She’s only 13, but thought I’d let her know early.

She agreed. ??

They have been going out for 9 years - I tried my best but to no avail. He is actually a nice bloke and he tries his best to win me over by not harping on about our travails. His Dad is also a nice bloke despite being a rs.

My daughter will not stay in the same room if the rs are on tv - except putting herself through the trauma of derbies

Look at the consideration given over to this username. ^^^^^ It must have taken all of a couple of seconds.

Can't agree, it certainly won't be settled this weekend, although things will be a little clearer, Burnley's fixtures get potentially harder after their Watford game, while our games get potentially easier after the Chelsea game. Worst case scenario, we are 5 points behind them with a game in hand.

so then two wins needed from then and burnley slip up

There are some decent ones to be fair. My brother in law is the only Kopite in the family, he’s a season ticket holder, and he’s sound, just a little less intelligent. ?

Far stranger things have happened but I'm expecting Burnley to beat Watford. There is a wider air of fate about our demise I think, and I've thought that for months. This whole Mike Jackson miracle worker thing is also so typical of what can happen during a scrap.

Will be a big ask then to recover from a 5 point deficit - points in the bag are what count and even moreso when your direct rival has Chelsea next up.

We have to be more than mathematically still in it after Sunday. If we are then some hope remains with the game in hand.

My nephew who is now 41 started life as a Blue under my guidance, then his other uncle on his Dad's side converted him to the dark side.

He still says his second favourite team is Everton :)

The media are already dancing on our grave, and we’re not in the fecking ground yet.

They are desperate for us to drop, as are most neutral fans it would seem.

I Didn’t think we were significant or offensive enough, as a club, to generate such hatred across the game?

Thinking about it, maybe it’s because we’ve spent fortunes only to make an absolute pigs ear of everything.
They want us to go down because it’s funny, but they don’t understand is this. Everton are the leaders of the 14 other teams as soon as we go(if we go) the PL big 6 will call a meeting and walk all over the other clubs

Most fans aren’t intelligent enough to think about things like this, but it’s very true - we have been one of the only clubs to publicly stand up against the big 6 - everyone else just caves.

It's come to something when people are lamenting the loss of Tom Davies, a player with no positive attributes.

We're struggling enough without him getting robbed of possession in his own half all the time.
Or smashing the ball in the back of Utd net instead of passing to Mina

I bet that was tough after all your groundwork!

My wife’s Uncle has got two lads and both of them turned out to be Kopites. It still breaks his heart and he’s 60! That’s tough to take especially living in our city.

Saying that though, my mate is a Kopite and his lad is a mad Evertonian. He doesn’t care weirdly.

Pickford, DCL and Richie will be poached. I imagine Mina and Allan will be sold too.
Delph, he who can't be named, Tosun and Kenny are all out of contract and I'm sure they'll try binning Rondon too.
I'd do all I could to get shot of Gomes, Keane and Holgate and then go from there.

I'd keep the below and then build on that.

GK - Begović
Defence - Coleman, Patterson, Branthwaite, Godfrey, Mykolenko & Nkounkou
Midfield - Davies, Doucoure
Wingers - Gray, Gordon, Townsend and Dobbin
Stikers - Simms

and I say keep reluctantly. If we can bin the entire squad I would.
Coleman who half the bloody reason we are in this mess, worse captain in our history

Funnily enough, just been chatting to a Burnley fan who has bought a season ticket for next season as he thought they would be in the championship. Said he’s sick of the PL and what’s the point in being in it.

My accountant is also a Huddersfield fan, said exactly the same and would rather they didn’t go up.
I started going to see my local non-league team for a few games last season, then, because of the whole Benitez farrago, I started going to see them regularly this season. I can walk to the ground, drink in the stands, my lads get in for free when I buy my £6 ticket and there's no diving, no VAR, no surrounding the ref at every little thing, no millionaire bawbags acting like they're too good for the place. They finished 3rd in the league and I'm off to a cup final next week. I've enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, and it has made me think that following a team that makes up the numbers in the PL is a bit like masturbation without ejaculation, pointless and ultimately unsatisfying.

I doubt we stay up this season, and if we go down I suspect we won't light up the Championship but at least there will be something to play for. That being said I think I'll be sticking to beers in the stands in the non-league.
