The stadium atmosphere should be vicious but having flipping crowds cheering the players on a bus to a home game???? Just rs behaviour
I think some people want to try and influence something they are desperate to avoid and I can understand and respect it.

We should not judge it through rs standards, unless same people have it in mind to launch an all-out assault on the Chelsea bus.

We don't have compare anything we do to them.

Has to be the same for all three games. No good beating Chelsea but losing to Brentford and drawing with Palace, 33 points so not going to be enough unless team properly turns up for one of the away games.

Palace is a night game isn't it....so that looks after itself really and no doubt all sorts will happen during that game as desperation sets in (Burnley are playing the same night at Villa).
Bloody ell didn't know Burnley playing same night ,that will be the decider that night ,no work Friday me

I didn’t mention tackling but he was far from the worst at it to wear the famous blue shirt. If you think that you clearly haven’t been to Goodison very often. Our current midfield is full of players who can’t tackle. Tommy worse than Gomez, don’t make me laugh. Tommy was a competitor and with Carsley formed a really good partnership. Better than anything we’ve seen in the last few seasons. Might not be up there with the greats pre Premiership but the question was about players from the Moyes era.
I liked gravesen mate, he was erratic but some of the things he done were world class, i just don’t understand how he got this reputation as a fearsome player that would put others in check,he was one of the most indicaplined players weve had. Im not having a go at you mate, im just genuinely baffled by the reputation Gravesen left,

Probably just that we had a midfield duo who genuinely Had a go and competed with opposition. Carsley was the holding man with a great tackle but Graveson drove us forward with great ability to pick out a quality pass. That’s what we don’t have now. Nobody to take control and feed the front men.

I’ve not read the entire conversation, but… did you just say Anthony Gordon is “not that far away” from Wayne Rooney’s level?!
No us having a world class youngster again. If he can start finishing all his lovely attacking play and keep improving I can see him becoming world class

We are on the verge of being relegated from the top flight for the first time in over 70 years and people are concerned about kopite behaviour. I mean honestly who gives a toss about what anything looks like. Anything goes as far as i am concerned, all that matters is going as far as humanly possible to try and not get relegated. Climb lampposts for all i care if it helps. Got to try and stay in the PL no matter what it takes.

After spunking half a billion over the last few years then looking at the current back 4 !!, Maybe the Relegation thread should be moved to the Conspiracy thread ??

Major problem has been that Brands ran the football side then soon as it went bad Moshiri turned up sacked the manager and picked completely the wrong manager for the players we had. Our inability to sell off the deadwood has crippled the club

Exactly. The new stadium is largely dependent on us remaining a top-flight club.

If relegation happens we will be stuck at Goodison until it can no longer get its safety certificate.

This is not true lol

I don’t think anyone is seriously suggesting that relegation would be anything other than a catastrophe for Everton Football Club. Apart from WUMs etc.

Every discerning person knows it would destroy our club, potentially leaving it in a Bury-esque situation,

We have a multi billionarire owner ffs

To not be relegated now would be quite a surprise for the majority.

We have the feel of a relegated club.

Hows that?

If it keeps us up

People speculating on huge summer spending sprees when it’s obvious we are constrained by FFP.

We will be able to spend alot by selling alot.

FFP btw doesnt just work as 1 out 1 in.

I think the plan will be to sell anyone we can sell, then go with what’s left.

Depending on how much we sell, we could still face a points deduction.

Essentially, the plan is managed decline and try and avoid a second relegation, For the second year in the Championship, the parachute payments reduce even further, meaning another attempt to shift the deadwood.

The plan really is just to try and control the tailspin and be able to come back fitter and leaner etc in a few years.

What are you smoking???

We will go bust if we go down.

How?
