Why? They are playing well, making themselves hard to beat and are picking up points. Their fixtures are similar to ours in having Chelsea, Arsenal and Brentford in the run in.

They don't have Watford away still to play and their GD is terrible. Arsenal and Chelsea beat them and that puts huge pressure on them to get wins in their final two games.

They really should've sacked Bielsa around December tbh. In that month they lost 7-0 to Man. City, 4-0 at home to Arsenal and his last game was 4-0 home defeat to Spurs. They lose those games just 2-0 and GD is still pretty much in line with other teams down there.

Marsch is averaging well over a point a game still but past few months form could easily relegate them now.

That's the nub of it.

Can we defende deep and play on the counter against Brentford , Palace and Watford ?

Win those 3 and we stay up.

Anything from Leicester and Arsenal is a bonus

Leicester are in Rome on thursday night...they will hopefully be mentally shattered.

If they lose then season over for them.

Win and it will be a tough game so hopefully knackered

I think we get a draw at worst.

Another 8 points and I think we will be safe. I can see Leeds and Burnley getting at least another 5 points from their games. But both are in very good form.

We need to win the games we have usually struggled in, against teams like Watford, Brentford and Palace where we are expected to win.

We usually do well against the top teams at home. We need to carry it on against those around us.
Yes I think 8 points is the target. But still a lot of turns in the road. A point would be acceptable on Sunday but we have to go there to win. With Leeds at Arsenal that could potentially be a defining weekend.

The question is, where have these performances been all season? The fans deserve an answer into what has been going wrong (as much as most of us all have a pretty good idea).

Just have to be ruthless at end of the season and not suddenly hand out new 5 year deals to players who've decided to turn up for final few games.

Atmosphere will be flatter at Goodison start of next season so results will probably revert back to type.

We have no midfield, it’s been on show for us all season. Our central forward position is zero, can’t believe I’m saying delph has added a little more steel in their for last few games

I hope they take something from that game. With losing today and potentially on Thursday, that would make them more up for Sunday I think. They are certainly beatable though, it's whether we can fight like today and put 90 minutes together outside GP.

Game by game. Every is like cup final and we need to play like that. Someone wrote on this forum that Watford is only top tier club who managed to lose 11 home consecutive games. And Everton is coming. It's all written over it. It would be disaster after this win to lose against Watford.
