Are Southampton now safe because of Leeds losing too Chelsea. Also I think it’s Leeds who are down. I hope spurs and Villa give Burnley a good hiding. I think they will beat Newcastle last game so want there goal difference to take a bit of a battering.
More or less safe unless Leeds win 2, Southampton lose 2 and 18 goals net. Plus Everton/Burnley's would need 4 and 6 points from 3 and 2 games. So, even though Saints are capable of losing 6-0 (twice, even at home to the RS!) it doesn't seem likely even for them.

They are also bang in form. It’s not going to be easy for a Leeds team that has been losing a couple of players a game to injury and suspension. Anything can happen but I’d be surprised if Leeds win it. They now have James suspended and apparently Harrison won’t make it either. They are getting weaker each game.
Raphina went of injured as well, they just lost 3 straight and been beat 9-1 in the 3 but they are going to win both games

Where Everton have won 2 and D1 are going to lose all 3 games

Make your bloody minds up lol

Leeds will surely lose away to Spurs.

If that happens, then we literally need one point from our remaining 3 games. That's a sexually appealing position to be in considering I was convinced we were destined to be a Champo outfit for the foreseeable.

It’s because it Watford if it was someone above us it be great point. Yes terrible performance and we should have won but for once we didn’t lose and normally this type of game is where they score in the 1st minute and we lost 1-0

I know what you mean mate, but it’s still 4 points.

We’ve badly needed a goal scorer all year and that is where you win horrible games like that, with quality.

We’d have lost recently in that game (See Brentford, and I could go on) so there’s progress. The players are trying and battling and it’s been a while since thag happened.

People wrote us off against Chelsea, United and yet we came back and proved them all wrong, but Brentford and Palace have fell kindly for us, and let’s hope we take advantage, and can enjoy Arsenal away.

Yes

They would need to lose both, Leeds would need to win both their matches, and there would need to be a 19 goal swing.

So we would need Southampton to lose 4-0 and 5-0 and Leeds to win 5-0 x2.

It’s a learning curve for Lampard, and it has been since he’s came in really. There have been flaws, but without him we’ve already sank. The insistence on playing Gray until that late in the game is an error someone learning would make, same with the DCL decision.

We all saw the Leicester game and saw the effort we put in, it needed to be tweaked, bring some fresh legs in and stop any burn out.

Watford we’re abysmal, and obviously the ramifications of winning the game would have meant safety.

Despite that, a goalscorer in that side and we’ve got 3 fantastic opportunities there. It’s what we’ve missed all season.

If we’re fortunate enough to stay up, and I think we will, we need to reinforce that and play our best players (Richarlison etc) in their best position.

It was a game we should have won on paper, but it’s far from a disaster everyone is going on about here.

Keep the faith, we’ve got two games a Goodison to come and 4 points guarantees us safety.

TBF

If he keeps this team up, he tactically got it right.
He is on a learning curve, he put it all on the line to join us, with where we were at, the spend we'd had etc.
He adjusted when he realised what he had to work with, and 7 from 9 in the last 10 days has been nothing short of a miracle.
If we'd got nothing from Chelsea and Leicester, we'd be 5 points off Leeds, needing all sorts to happen.
Some are losing sight of this.

In terms of his management style.
Results is all that matters.
Most people would rather be Klopp's mate, then Pep's, based on personality etc, yet it will be Pep lifting 4th league in 5 years.

Lampard is a winner. Worked with some of the best Managers of the modern era, and is working with this hotpotch squad, having had no time or money to put an identity in place.

If we come out of this season, with the new bond created between Manager and Fans, and a decent overhaul of the squad, we will be a different beast next year.

Thank God.

Now i know we want teams to lose, but having them lose to teams they dont play is a new one lol, but know what you mean and yes i would expect Burnley to lose at Spurs, i have that sneaky feeling Leeds will win sunday v Brighton, but hope i am well and truly wrong

Brighton fans seem particularly enthused about the prospect of helping relegate Leeds.

Seems it's not just us who have this type of mentality;

We’re arguably playing the best we ever have. After the last two games we should be BRISTLING with confidence and hubris. Leeds have imploded. The historical record over the last 15 games between us reads Leeds W 2, 3 draws and 12 Brighton wins. The majority of the footballing world wants us to do it and send them back with their tails firmly between their legs…

I think we all know what the result will be in time honoured Albion fashion. 2-0 Leeds.
