The problem with this is that
A) we're awful in the final 3rd. Time after time the final pass is missed or cross hits the first man.
B) we can't defend and are usually caught out on the break.
This happened first half on Sunday and we could easily have been 3 down at the break.

That's why, it's vital for us that Burnley lose tomorrow so we don't necessarily need to go all out for the win. If we do, we're in trouble.
That said, with James suspended, we've been forced to finally play Gelhardt who's different class and made the difference on Sunday. Ironically, if I'm not mistaken, he's a blue.
At the end of the day, if Burnley don't win on Thursday we have a chance, if not we're screwed

We had a nerve wracking end to the 94/95 season when we drew 5 of our last 6 matches and needed to beat Ipswich at Portman Road to stay up.
We had the chance to stay up by beating Chelsea(drew 3-3) or Southampton(0-0) with both games at Goodison but could not get the job done.
