The next two games will settle this issue. If we win both then we can go on to be safe, 3/4 points then we are right in the middle of a relegation battle without any battlers, anything less and we are down.
The club is a complete basket case, we have an owner who may or may not be the owner, we have a Board who couldn't run a corner shop and we have players who can't or won't play, we have embarked on a new pitch which we may not be able to afford and there is the possibility of a points reduction next season.
Unless there is a root and branch change at all levels within the club then we will continue in a downward spiral. In the face of all this there remains "hope". It might well be all we have, so starting on Sunday we get a win.

Wander how many of these players have a clause in their contracts regarding relegation, once they desert the sinking ship they will never get a contract again without this because future employers will know how spineless they are
it has nothing to do with beeing spineless. These kind of clause are only for players who probably would join that team, without a clause reagrdig relegation.

Why do you say we might have a points deduction next season?

They will all get a club. Coleman maybe stay on as a coach. Relegated players every season get a new club if they don't stay on.
Cuco Martina got a club
Sandro got a club.
They couldn't kick a ball
How much did their wages go up. Coleman has been a great servant for the club but that doesn't make him a future employee

I have no confidence that we will survive this season, but, if we do, I think there will be a complete reset during the summer. I think the out of contract players will be replaced, that of course is the ones who played enough to warrant being replaced, by younger hungry players looking to prove themselves in the Prem. It is funny really, while I don't think Lampard is the best manager for a relegation fight, I do think, should we stay up, he is the ideal man to change the whole profile of the club.

If only the Iranian lunatic had pulled the trigger on Benitez after the Watford game, I think our situation would be much different today.
If we do survive and I think we will, I feel we might have to cash in on our so called better players, I don’t think that would really be a bad thing, get some decent loans in Frank has good contacts with chelsea, perhaps Broja,Gallagher even Gilmor all player I can see getting better and better, 2 would walk straight in our team instantly. We need a reset and start again. If we stay up I’d be happy with 10th next season success unfortunately is further away than it was in Moyes time here.

You said they will never get a contract at another club again. That's what I responded to.
Now you are changing your argument.
Point proven.
I am saying basically these players think that they are premier league players and deserve the contracts that go with the status, they are not and when we Go down they will learn the true facts of what their levels are, how many players do you want me to name

So if you were an owner you would give contracts to spineless players without regards to the future of the club, this is why we are where we are

i imagine that we probably can't spend any money next season either - so we're probably stuck with most of these players. Richarlison is leaving for sure. Feels like the late 90s again.

I think we will go down.

We won't get another point away from home this season.

It's not always going to our way at Goodison, although we might win a few games at home it won't be enough.
