Still the same huge underlying issues but for once we got a goal at a key time. We made it a horrible, messy game instead of just letting the opposition have a lovely old time.

If we want a way to motivate and provide an example of how you can be respected by Evertonians despite overall under performance, show them Barry Horne, Limpar or Farrelly. Being in this deepest of holes means someone has the chance to write their name in our history just by producing one or two good moments in these last few games when we really need them. They don't need to morph into Peter Reid or Brian Labone overnight, it's not too late, they can have been awful all season but just step up now. Think of it like a fresh start!
