Not being funny but if we were playing 2 games in 72 hours people would be spinning it as a negative because we’ve had no rest period.
The more time we have in-between games the worst we seem to play, compared to the oppo we play when they have only had a few days, IE wolves last week and we have done same v the saints before were they had a few days of and we have had a week off,

Not really. We played abysmally on Sunday after a very tight turnaround. I think we definitely cope better playing only on weekends.

All about the home form. 2 more wins and a couple of draws should be enough. That should be do-able from the remaining home games never mind including any points from the away games. Talking maybe 8 points needed off 11 games.

The win at Newcastle provide significant breathing space. Never felt like relegation was a real threat. Would need to lose 3 or 4 on the bounce for that threat to become anything like significant. I just don't see 4 defeats on the bounce v WHU, Burnley, Man Utd and Leicester.

Burnley have never been lower than 15th at this stage of the season (last 5 years)

So it's a bit of a mythe they always find a win when needed to stay up.

Comforting a little I suppose.
They've won 3 games all season and average about 0.8 goals per game.

I mean, we know they still have a chance as they have a decent enough run in, but with a 4 point gap between us and them we have to back ourselves to finish above them.

We need to at least hold Watford and Burnley away to a draw other wise the breathing space is gone again. Imo if we could get 4 or 5 points from the next 4 games we'd be OK provided Burnley don't beat us.

Could be a one point gap if they beat us after West Ham though and considering our away form they most likely will. If we can't get a win there we need to hold them to a draw as losing there would really put pressure on us

And don‘t forget….they host City the day before we play Hammers.

Watford go the The Pit on the same day.

Plus they have to play each other as well.

That could realistically happen.

But they have 11 games left and - even taking strange end of season results into consideration (which can count for us as well as those at the bottom around us) - the table suggests that they wont be running up another 3 wins in 11 games when they've struggled to that number in the last 27 games.

I'm just making the point that we should be concerned about where we are, but that we also should be clear headed about what it will take to survive.
