Not even down to that, no.

We dont have a great quality squad, but even so there's no way this club's fans united behind its team and manager loses the amount of points we have. I look at the teams above us right up to Southampton in 11th place and cant believe that we have couldn't at least have piled up another 10 points if the club hadn't been internally at war over a managerial appointment.

That's cost us, and it could be fatal.
Its partially to blame tho Dave.

And the matches I've been to when Benitez was in charge, admittedly only a handful, there was an even split of for and against at times, some very vocal on both sides, much the same on here but the split on here got wider and wider, its a bit harsh laying any of it on the fans, after the Derby the gap grew and at that point Mosh had the chance to act and once again didnt.

The internal ramblings and discord of this club are only partially influenced by the fans, that much is very obvious from the lack of any real communication from them to the Fans, their disagreements internally, dithering and ineptitude are what has brought the club here, not the lack of support for the Manager and to be fair if Mosh had any concern over the fans involvement he would not have even considered Benitez in the first place.

* I would say the Support and Fan base of this club is one of the best in Football, yes we moan, yes we expect a lot but so we should, including from our Owner

no thread yet so I'll post here. Sporting life and the bookies dont think much of our chances on Sunday...

Correct Score: West Ham 2-0 Everton (Sky Bet odds: 7/1)

  • Sky Sports: Sunday, 14:00
West Ham's chances of a top four finish look to have diminished, the Infogol model giving them just a 0.7% chance of doing so. Fortunately for the Hammers, they still have two routes into Europe next season - via the Europa League and by finishing seventh or higher in the league.

Despite recent wobbles in the latter of those competitions, David Moyes's side have been strong at home, winning four of six at the London Stadium, and their season-long home xG process has been impressive (1.70 xGF, 1.26 xGA per game).

Relegation-threatened Everton got a much-needed win over Newcastle last time out to put three points between themselves and the drop zone, but it was another uninspiring display (xG: EVE 0.77 - 0.95 NEW).

They followed that 1-0 win up with a 4-0 thrashing at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, meaning the Toffees have lost all four away matches under Frank Lampard by an aggregate score of 14-1, allowing over 2.60 xGA in all three road games in the league.

It could be a long day for Everton if they continue in the same manner here.

Dreading Sunday. We aren’t even remotely competitive away from home so feels like it’s just keeping the goal difference down…which is grim.

I am trying to see the break as a positive for the squad with them having time to work with the manager. Mina back in training even delph, this is the time for the squad to stand up and be counted they owe us this to get us positive results

West Ham are a few days before an important European tie (and not in great form anyway), I suspect there'll be a fair few punters taking a chance on Everton at 7/2.

We could have every player back in training fully for and raring to go, would make no difference as they all cowards.

No way we'd be where we are if the rabid opposition to the manager hadn't happened.
I thought Benitez got an easier ride than expected. I know many couldn't accept him from the start but the vast majority were supportive until his position became untenable due to results.
No manager would have survived any longer with the results he achieved it wasn't personal he just wasn't a very good manager.

I have no doubt that the eleven players Everton put on the park on Sunday are capable of getting a result if they play together and they give of their best. I cannot shake the feeling that something will cause them to feel they need to get their act together and start playing as well as they can; but neither can I shake the feeling that every supporter of every team who have been relegated felt the same.

There was no depth to that though. No goodwill.

I'm not saying all fans were responsible, btw. Far from it.

Absolute rubbish, he had a chance and he failed miserably.

He ran the club into the ground, got rid of key backroom staff, key members of the squad and his tactics were dire. Never has one man done so much damage in such a short period of time. A failure from day one and to the end of his tenure.

In light of the mess he left us in, your continued support of him borders on the farcical.

100% wrong on this one.
