Might sound daft but we'll beat United Saturday, they're as soft mentally as us and disorganised. At home, crowd behind, no cryarsing and get an XI lined up who have the bottle for it and we can get 3 pts.
It doesn’t sound daft, it’s downright delusional.

United have more than DOUBLE the points that we have and we’ve just been beaten by a dreadful Burnley side.

We also have a squad of indifferent cowards.

The financial disparity between Prem and fpl is huge.

All of our ‘sponsors’ and ‘partners’ - that income become less. Gates become less, tv money is astronomical.

The amount of wages we have - it’s scary of how many players we’d have to get off the books , no chance many of them are on relegation clauses.

Then you have a side of young players and whatever free transfers you can bring in playing in one of the most demanding league schedules there is…
I also bet that the hubris of this club is such that our millionaires either have no relegation clause or a derisory minimal paycut is all.

We have been doling out excessively high and long contracts like confetti. It’s irrational to believe we included penal relegation clauses at the same time. Who’s going to sign Godfrey, Iwobi, Keane, Holgate? Nobody.

On to Saturday…

Why not. If we’re going to lose I’d rather do it with a glimpse of some of the players who might be responsible for trying to get us back up again next season. Mina and VDB available for Leicester which is 10 days after this. Say to Branthwaite, Price and Dobbin ‘play well and you keep your place.’ Would give the crowd a lift as well. Won’t happen but I feel it’s a risk worth taking.

Is it out of the realms of possibility

Not when we have a billionaire owner who's happy to lob hundreds of millions into the club to cover losses.

People are getting confused with the club breaking the EFL's stricter financial rules and "doing a Leeds" where they literally had no money and going bankrupt.

Not ideal either way but its massively important that fans dont spread misinformation at times like this. We wont be doing a Leeds or Bury.

Kenwright, Moshiri, Walsh, Koeman, numerous managers, all to varying degrees part of the reason we’re in this mess. Factor in the most cowardly squad in the history of professional sport and it looks like we’re done for. The 27 campaign and our dirtball neighbours love using the 95 cup win to showcase how long we’ve been [Poor language removed] but i personally believe we started to drift around 89/90. The likes of Carter going all in to get the Prem up and running then cheering on the clubs that showed ambition with brand growth and stadium upgrades, all the while happy to just coast along enjoying lofty titles within our club. The teary eyed gushing praise people throw at the Moyes era just backs that up. Almost dancing in the streets celebrating mediocrity and hoof-ball. Tragic demise of a truly great institution with the greatest supporters on the planet. I’m heartbroken but not shocked
You and me both. Just lost all energy and hope with this flipping Club. It shouldn't but it is affecting a lot of us in terms of health. We care too much for the Club.

You really think he’s gonna piss money up the wall on a championship team that’s gonna add years onto his “project”?

Like so many on here, we all have either a long and chequered history, for me, my family have been involved for well over 100 years and I've instilled that loyalty in my kids.

Or we have been touched by Everton more recently, but none of us, no matter how long or short that history is, can be dismissed or treated differently because we are here for Everton but accepting that relegation is OK, is a huge NO!

Seeing the desolation and tears and anger on my lads face after tonight is desperate. Yes there are some severe tragedies happening outside of football and this has been the case for as long as man has walked the earth but it doesn't stop you feeling it any less.

My Dad did it for me and his Dad for him and I will do it for mine, pick up the pieces, put perspective on it but sometimes as a much older man now, I also need that arm around the shoulder as I'm sure do others?

It's not over but it's closer than before, even the Wimbledon, Coventry years felt different to now, there was fight, spirit and a will before. This team and overall this club is a pale shadow of the Everton we know and its heartbreaking to witness.

WE GO AGAIN, I fear this is a pivotal year in the history of the Greatest Club, In my humble opinion ?

Toffee Forever

That’s nice, but for how long can a club that does nothing but loses hope to sustain itself ?

I knew Everton were heading for relegation back in October '21 after the Watford debacle. Me and my mate watched the match and instantly knew something wasn't right with the team/squad. Because of that, I've had a 5 month head-start of knowing we're going down, so I'm quite content about it all.

I must admit, I do feel a little sadness because I love the crest, colour and history of the club. But I have so little affinity toward any of these players -- plus the cretins who run the place -- it just doesn't feel like Everton FC anymore.
