Lets wait for the outcome of Newcastle and Leeds' games this weekend before properly panicking. Fully expect Burnley to win and us to lose. Its just a matter of how bad other results are for us over the next couple of days.
in theory this matters, but the big problem is our ability to put points on the board, not hoping others put up less points than us.

We need to be able to bag points - we've proven that's nearly impossible away. Can we squeak out enough at Goodison? The fixture list doesn't give me a ton of optimism

They're not a group.

They are epitomised by Calvert-Lewin: disinterested and cant be arsed about defeats. We have a lot of players like that to varying degrees.

Just not up for the fight, never mind up to it.

That's why we are almost certainly relegated now with 9 games to go and still outside the relegation zone.

This is the type of player bought in the Moshiri era.

Moyes I cant stand, but attitude was the first thing he scouted players for. We've just thrown cash at bringing in scores of players just chasing cash.

i agree here if they had anything about them they would show they are assed

we can’t rely on others and also the home games

it’s to big a task

sorry your heads in the sand if you think going down has any benefit what so ever

kiss goodbye to this club
Go back and read my posts, where did I say going down I'll do us any good? We just have to make the best of a bad job, staying up won't solve our problems either, the club is rotten. Given a choice I'd like to see us stay up, but, it's very unlikely to happen, if you can't see that good for you.

ok sorry, but staying up can give us a chance to make changes

going down sends us to oblivion

Can't agree on all points Roy, but that is what makes a forum interesting. Different points of view.
Even our complete clown of an owner will have, at long last, been shaken out of his Ivory Tower and will have come crashing down.
Near relegation will have finally made him see sense. Money squandered and a boardroom full of miscreants and many on the coaching staff etc not 'fit for purpose'.
He has lost too much money to allow this to continue, and this dicing with demotion is his wake up call.
You are right, change has been too long coming and it is sad it has taken our current plight to awaken him, but this time it will be swift, direct, painful, and, personal. This truly is the wake up call.
We stay in the Premier, and progress is inevitable.
Stay with us Roy, we all need each other as we will see definite improvement, and, we will all be able to rejoice in it!

I am not a 'happy clapper', but I can sense who the good guys are and, even though we all do, there are those who deserve better. We can achieve this together next season in the Premier.
Stay with us? I'm not sure where that came from, I have been a blue for over ,60 years now, I went to my first game in 1962. I went to away games all through the 70's when, at one point, we hadn't won away for over a year. We used to sing on the coach on the way to the match, ' keep right on till we win away from home'. I'm a. Blue through and through and will be until I die and I have never seen the club in a position like this.

As for our current owner, he is a liability and his stupidity in the fiscal running of this club has us far closer to oblivion than we have ever been, even in the week before the Rooney sale. We will came through this, Everton existed before Moshiri and we will, in some form, exist after him, but, please dont expect me to go along with all this 'he'll come down from his Ivory tower stuff. He won't, he's just trying to hang on long hough to get a decent portion of his investment back. Progress is not, by the way, inevitable if we stay up.

Now I won't ask you to 'stay with us Catt', I accept that you have every right to your opinion, but, equally, I have every right to mine. This man is not an Evertonian, he is a businessman, I'm not even sure if that is how to describe him, given the circles he mixes in. He is, at this point, just looking for a way out. Until he is gone we can't progress. A new stadium is all well and good, but, at what cost. I have never seen this club in such a position in all my born days. I don't just mean the relegation thing, I mean the fact that we have become a laughing stock.

this is why i’m so upset depressed and it’s on my mind 24/7

we’re literally gone as football club
This has been a while in the making.

I have been preparing myself for this because it seemed likely to me 18 months ago. We hardly won a game in Ancelotti’s last five months and then didn’t strengthen in the summer.

The pain is too much for me and I’m trying to insulate myself from it. I also feel that I have less connection to the club now because it has become a business forest and foremost. Who wants to support a corporation detached from the fans?

Would LOVE 1 of them.
