Reputation System Back

We've made changes to the reputation system which allows it to be efficiently moderated - and so, it's back.

We'll be making a few more gradual changes to how it operates in the coming weeks.

In addition, you will now receive an automated PM if your thread has been locked/moved/deleted.

Threads are now automatically tagged (Box underneath new threads). I'm sceptical how we'll it'll work, but we'll give it a go...

We'll be making a few more changes shortly.

Does the points thing replace the power of people with high rep then?

I'm not sure I understand 1 and 5 when for example, in the old system, if chico gave you a rep your score would go up by 2 thousand or something silly.

If you want to neg rep someone (Damon obviously), you have to also say how their comment breaks forum rules? Doesn't that make the 'report post' option right next to it a bit redundant?

Yeah I guess, but I think it's quite a smart move.

It will stop sniding surely if every neg rep also alerts the moderators through a reported post. Any post that doesn't check out could be traced back to the snide.

I say smart move, and not a popular one. This could be the death of Snidey popcorn.
