Reputation System - Disabled

Hi All,

With regret, I've disabled the reputation system.

Unfortunately, despite best efforts to minimise potential abuse (Negative Rep prompting a moderator alert) - we have had a handful of absolute idiots abusing the system. Those idiots will shortly find themselves permanently banned for being malicious, misrepresenting our community and wasting our time.

The reputation system will be revamped and back shortly.

Let's start the new regime with a ban for this member, make an example of him and send him to Twitter exile

The whole clique gets on my nerves more than any red or green dots ever have or will.

There is no clique. People get along. Why is that bad? I'll never understand it I don't think.

A certain thread exists where people say look at such an such in the Everton forum and make others aware of his posts and then all neg that person.

That could be interpreted as cliqueish. While it only usually happened to bad bells I was still suprised it was allowed. So it's not just a matter of we're all just pals.

I don't believe that at all. I, like many others, am quite capable of choosing what I like and what I don't like, all on my own, I don't need to be told what to do, unless it's a mod or site owner of course.

Yes people point certain things out, but to say it's done as cliquish actions is a being a little paranoid.

I tend to agree, I'm not fussed one way or another about that particular thread but I am slightly surprised that it's allowed to exist.
