This is an utter disgrace and underlines the contempt people now have for the 'business' side of football.

It is one thing actual footballers and managers being on obscene wages, but it has well and truly extended to a growing army of agents and administrators too.

What a message to send to wider society after a prolonged period of recession.

The guys played a large part in turning the premier league into the biggest sports league in the world. He has helped make clubs obscene amounts of money. Everton have benefited from this massively as have all the other clubs. Its a bit of a false equivalency to compare him to agents who haven’t added any value to the league or clubs.

He makes £2.5m a year including bonuses and has sold fans out with his TV Packages.

Clubs should be donating that 250k to a local charity or somewhere in grass roots football. Tell him to do one.
