Richarlison at Spurs

We need to move on, he wasn't that good that we pine over him so many years after.. :coffee:
I still pine over him because everyone we’ve had since has been crap and most don’t give a damn about the club
Richy scored goals and loved us as much as we loved him

Apart from Coleman, Pickford and Gueye I don’t get the impression anyone else feels ‘home’ here and most would jump at the chance to leave unlike when Richy left he was brazils starting number nine and we just survived with that Palace turnaround and needed the money we got for him, it was mutually beneficial

Tarky and Doucs also seems to like playing here aside from that, I agree. That being said I really don’t have any love for many of the players apart from the 5 mentioned in our post so it’s mutual. DCL for example could leave in January for example and I couldn’t care less. I don’t have a connection with him and never will.

Richy was amazing for Everton, scored goals and got the fans. Anyone who said otherwise clearly wasn’t paying attention.

Still reckon he never wanted to leave and only went because it was best for us and the mess we were in. His heart has never been in it at Spurs, he's tried but you can see it aint the same Richy we had.
His soul is elsewhere.

This is the case. We had to sell him and Gordon (although the latter did want to go, anyway). When he was here, he put his body on the line for an entire season.

His injuries are most likely a legacy of this, because he couldn't rest after the Olympics, regularly played with pain killing injections and wore himself down.

I think any thoughts of him leaving for financial reasons made sense, obviously. I do honestly think though that Richie full expected Real Madrid or some other elite club would come in for him. I think the reality of life at spurs and not at Madrid has broke his will.

and as we all know, some players suffer injuries and some players also sprinkle in unknown psychologic injuries. Wasn't Dom once accused that a lot of his injuries are in his head, or was it Andros? can't recall.
