Richarlison at Spurs

Made up for Richy - keep going kid. I wish we could have built a top 4 challenging team around him - he would never have left.
I only want the lad not to do well against us.

He will win any doubters over with his attitude, workrate and skill, if there are any left that is.

The only issue I have is watch how now he’s at the yids, he’s world class all of a sudden - news flash gobshites, he was already world class at Everton.
He wasn't world class at Everton - and he isn't world class at Spurs.

He's a good lad with lots of potential upside in a team going forward.

He’s a regular starter for one of the best International teams in the world, makes him world class for me
I think you and I are going to have to differ on the definition of world class.

Brazil are not the Brazil of Pele, Garrincha, Zico, and Ronaldo. They might be one of the best international teams in the world, but we are not living in a vintage period for international football. Italy, who couldn't even qualify for the World Cup, are European champions. Brazil, for all their supposed talent, couldn't with the South American championship at home.

That said, Richarlison is capable of having a good World Cup. I hope he does.

They have gone a bit off since the days of Kaka & Ronaldinho, some great players but nobody truly top tier

There wasn't a Brazil of Pele, Garrincha, Zico, and Ronaldo. It wasn't a vintage period, because it was three different ones.

There was a Brazil of Pele and Garrincha, a different Brazil of Zico, and a different Brazil of Ronaldo.

People obsess over whether a player is "world class" based on how useful their teammates are. It's much easier to look like the best in the world when you're surrounded by quality.

You know precisely what I am talking about. In the public consciousness, Brazil was associated with extraordinarily brilliant footballers. That time has passed for anybody paying attention. And, to be fair, it was always something of a myth anyway. The likes of Serginho played in the 1982 team. Fred played in 2014. Richarlison, right now, is in their class - not that of Careca, Ronaldinho, or Jairzinho. That's not to say he isn't a good player. But the idea that he is currently world class is laughable when he hasn't even nailed down a starting position at the mighty Spurs.

Different definitions with world class. For me world class means you’re in the top 3 or 4 in your position in the world. Think about strikers…You’ve got Lewandowski, Haaland, Kane, Benzema…Just because Morata plays up front for Spain doesn’t mean he’s fit to shine their shoes.

Richy is a very good forward. On his day he’s brilliant. World class, he is not.

I wasn't dismayed, just thought the price was hefty. I'm now open to it being an absolute bargain. He's one of those players where you won't notice his value just watching Youtube highlights.

It`ll be very interesting to see, whether he still gets as much stick for " diving " at Spurs, as he did for us.

One things for sure, he`s really enjoying winding up Carragher, both on the pitch and on social media lol
