Richarlison at Spurs

Different set up though, when he was here everything went through him whereas Spurs have Kane who is genuinely world class so Richy isn’t getting picked out as much.

I also feel like he was somewhat forced out due to our finances… I don’t think he was as desperate to leave as it was made out.
Somewhat 'This'

It’s hard to score when you barely play tbh
Exactly.

Kane plays every game, has scored 18 this season in the league. 2238 minutes of action, and starts every game.

Son has played the next highest number of minutes, 1768, and has 5 goals.

Kulusevski has played fewer than Son, 1309 minutes, and has two in the league.

Richarlison has played the fewest amount of minutes at 655 - just over 1/3 the amount of Son's game time and 1/2 of Kulusevski's - and has zero goals.

He still should have scored a few goals mind you, but he is constantly either being subbed on or off. Regardless, it's been a very underwhelming season for him. I thought his value would skyrocket off the back of a few World Cup goals and then seemingly going on to continue that form into the league, but the set-up at Spurs just doesn't allow for it.

I guess it's up to him if he wants to continue being a bit-part player there or a regular starter elsewhere. Weird one though as he's easily good enough to start for teams every bit as good as Spurs. Maybe Newcastle will fancy signing him to play with Joelinton and Guimares.

I’d be properly let down if he signed up to play with Newcastle. He is better than that.

They'll be spending big in the summer and will likely want to make a marquee signing - Richarlison could definitely be that.
I’m not sure how much more they can actually spend. Their most profitable years have dropped off the cycle. They have spent like 260m net since Howe came in.

They can inflate their revenues all the want but they have to prove the value is right, which when the drop off between Sky 6 revenues and the other 14 is so big, one ok season where they scrape 6th still won’t allow them to bring in deals inline with other top 6 clubs.

Something a bit off with Everton likely to get relegated while our best striker from last season plays infrequently for a team that will probably finish 5th, and Leeds may well go down while their best player of the last few years comes on for the occasional 5 minutes for Man City. I miss football from my formative years when clubs either kept their best player or they went on to actually play for a bigger club.

Guimares will be off in the summer. Proper big clubs in for him.

Also not allowing for it is the inconvenient little part where he's not all that good

You rate Alex Iwobi but not Richarlison. Interesting.
Iwobi and Richarlison are the same level of player. And in fact they have very similar issues holding them back from being better players. Richarlison has always needed to be made a full time #9. He's absolute atrocious in the middle third and doesn't have any ability to pick passes or consistently create. He's good as a wide player because he gets into #9 positions a lot and it makes his figures look good. But the rest of his game out there actively harms you and you can't be a complete side. Not getting to commit to a position that suits his abilities has held him back.

And that is the story with Iwobi too who is clearly better suited to a central role. The amount of time he's spent wide right has killed him. They both play at an average level and both could be better if coaches had made different decisions.
