Confirmed Signing Richarlison

Seems an appropriate player to contrast him with is Geri, who Watford signed for £11 million earlier in the summer. Geri has scored a goal or made an assist every 3.45 Premier League games. Richarlinson has done likewise every 3.9 Premier League games, yet somehow is worth anywhere from 3-5 times as much as Geri, despite Geri also having international experience and having played in both Serie A and La Liga.

They're taking the mick aren't they?
Geri might be similarly effective, but he ties up the use of one of the available subs, as he's normally knackered after half a game.

3 years older and has proven that although he has a spark, he is never gonna be a top player...

I thought exactly the same when I first saw the deal, I did feel a little better when the fee being talked about was closer to 35m, and when you add the Silva money into the equation it looks a bit better.

But on Geri, I think he's at a make or break point in his career, hes 24 now. He either goes on to fulfil his potential, or he becomes the next one of a long list of La Maisa talents who drift around Europe, ala Bojan. I think that is reflected in his fee

But but Bruce this kids Brazilian... that adds to the fee...you know all braziallin footballers are amazeballs right?

He is a sub quite often himself, and has been substituted onto the field for roughly half of his PL appearances. So despite averaging just 45 minutes per game in the PL, he still achieves more than a lad we're buying for nearly 5 times as much. Bodes well.

£35m upfront it seems.

take £10m off for Silva Compensation, it's £25m plus addons to £40m.

No where near as bad as being made out.

Wipe out what they own us for Del and really its gravy.

Im going to to vault my heart out of all the nay sayers when he turns out to be a world star, he is boss.

Our flanks next season would be Walcott, Coleman, and Ric, Baines/Dinge/Tierney. Yes please.

Richarlison doesn't strike me as the type to get bowled over by a slight gust of wind either.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Wasn't overly impressive last season and I'm not a fan of buying players from another PL team, they tend to be over priced. Oh well, not my money.
