Because he’s not afraid of a tackle , he’s a bit of snide about him , loves to press and has a fair bit of physicality to him
Going by what you say we should only sign PL proven players and get screwed on price and quality
EVERY non PL signing EVERY club makes is a bit of a risk.
Personally I think Bernard is a risk but only time will tell

Where did I say only buy PL proven players?

All I asked was how can you categorically say someone looks PL suited till you’ve seen them in the PL.
 
My bad
The reason I brought him up was I was having a few pints in my local last night
Met a friend and his son and the sons Brazilian fiancée
They are getting married Sat and her family are over for the wedding
Was talking to her father and brother
Once I mentioned Everton it was all Ricarlison and Bernard
They are surprised how well Ricarlison settled but think Bernard is not well suited to the physically of the PL.
I asked them about the next big thing and they said this lad is special and would be suited to European football and even the PL
Other clubs are interested as well
They said he had an incredible engine and runs all day.
They also mentioned a 21 yr old CF who is causing a stir over there
Can’t remember his name though
