2019/20 Richarlison

Still think he is a centre forward tbh
Not sure he's a CF but he's definitely better closer to goal.

At the end of last season we generally played higher up the pitch on the whole (Zouma and Gana were crucial to this) so our full-backs spent a lot of time right high upfield, meaning Richarlison was given the freedom to cut in from the right.

He's not a winger, so if he's playing on the right he's absolutely wasted if he's playing too wide. However, because we haven't been playing with as much confidence so far, we've tended to just sit that bit deeper, meaning he's been playing wider as that's where the space was.

Last night, as you'd expect, we were able to push our FBs right on. Sidibe didn't have a great game but his athleticism was evident. He got up and down and that allowed Richarlison to cut inside and generally we were all pressing that 10 yards higher up.

It'll be hard to replicate against Wolves. Coleman will rightly come back in and offers what Sidibe does. But we need to make sure as a team we're pushing higher up so the space for whoever plays in front of Coleman is made on the inside rather than right on the touchline.

Delph I think can also help with that.

I don't rate him at all, but his work rate and persistence Is to be admired, seems he needs a (literal)kick to get him motivated enough to perform though. That header was an absolute beast.

I just feel like anyone calling for this lad to be dropped after 1 or 2 poor games isn’t watching the same game as me. Always carries a threat even when playing poorly and the lad would run through brick walls for Everton. We need more of that in the team not less of it.

Good game last night.

Yes he's top drawer because of this, the consistent form we could expect to develop but he's always involved. This is what people really refer to when they say a player is young and needs time, not being totally bobbins all the time and expecting some miraculous development of ability

There’s a photo of that doing the rounds on Facebook with the RS laughing at him saying that he meant to copy Messi and had his shirt the wrong way around. Utter morons.

They do that so often.

Remember when we lost to City at Goodison last year and they were all sharing a photo from another game at Goodison of us celebrating after a goal and claiming that we cheered the City goal against us
