He did have a poor game today, no doubt.

Still could have scored two goals - should have done. Which is why he plays - we don't have many players who get into positions like he does.

Watford kicked him up and down the park all day and he stayed mature. Didn't 'go down too easily' like our weirdo fans slam him for, even though he got a kicking. Worked hard to cover Seamus and there were a few bits of nice play he was involved in.

He's had 3 weeks of rest after a draining summer in which he also took ill. The lad'll be fine.

Firmino didn't start on Wednesday or last week IIRC.

Mina went home a week and a bit before the final.

None of them got mumps midway through it and had to spend four days in quarantine.

I don't even think he looks unfit. It's just general sharpness. He hasn't had a pre-season so this is his pre-season.

It's a bit different being one of 4-5 quality scoring options for City or Liverpool, than being the main goalthreat (while playing out wide) for us.
