The length of a suspension for a player shown a red card varies according to the severity of the foul.

Dissent leading to a red card will generally earn a two-match ban, while violent conduct can be punished with a suspension for three games.

I think this will be interpreted as violent conduct. He was lashing out, not bringing him down to stop a break.

He's come on leaps and bounds in the last 2 seasons in not letting the opposition get in his head but he's massively let us and himself down there.

Top of the table and one of our best players needlessly gets himself sent off for a bad tackle - just drag Mane down if you want to stop him.

Everyone loves him for sure. It’s just the sending off will mean he misses 3 matches and he really did not need to fly in like that because it would always be a red. Luckily their third goal did not court otherwise the red would be even more worthless.

Since when is a red card more than 1 game? It was an aggressive tackle but I’m not sure why they should penalize him more than 1. He wasn’t trying to hurt the dude.
