Wonderful as he is you cant have a team of 11 James!

Its not about the quality mate - its about having 11 players who know how to work the system/ play the dark arts as it were.

Richarlison didnt need to make that challenge same way Holgate didnt need to lunge into a challenge in a nothing friendly and the results came out the same - we lose 2 key players for a number of weeks.

Not saying either could predict an injury / red card but if they want to play at the elite level like James they need to constantly be assessing situations.

He's made a mistake and he has to learn from it. Without that, Mina's clearance assist we would be in a much better situation. Little moments in a game that have a big impact and should be eliminated if you have ambition for silverware.

it’s a big loss but I have been wanting to see how Rodriguez and Bernard would link up together as they both creative players

Can't see Bernard starting seeing as he barely even comes on as a sub. It'll be Iwobi no doubt, I'm still unconvinced by him but who knows, this season is pretty wild so far.

Richarlison didn’t look fit today so missing the next 3 games will give him a chance to get back to full fitness! Could be a blessing in disguise

Problem is we now only really have DCL as our goal threat.

If he didn't score you still fancied Richarlison to pop up but now we have 3 games with only him and the odd chance of James potentially bagging.

One solution would be playing Delph instead of Gomes and moving Doucoure more forward as the lad likes bursting forward and could see him being a threat running into the box.

Just frustrating mate we lose enough players to injury without key players getting 3 game bans for daft tackles in the 90th minute.

Really put a downer on the result for me especially with Utd up in 3 games time which is a 6 pointer.
