2021/22 Richarlison

Probably our best player but it doesn't really say much considering how poor we've been this season. If we sold both him and calvert Lewin I wouldn't be too disheartened if it meant we could be financially stable and start building again for the future.

Calvert Lewin in particular would be no loss at all considering how he's played this season. Richarlison would be a loss, but he's hardly been irreplaceable of late. I do expect Richarlison to do well elsewhere though. If he was to play at psg I think he would be successful there as he will get far more chances and that's what he thrives on. Often cuts a frustrated figure with us.
Calvert Lewin has already been a loss as he has been injured most of the season and struggled to get back into form since then.

Realistically we should not fear losing anybody, it's part of football, If a club is ran well they should be able to absorb any sale and move on from it.

Obviously we are not a well ran club though so...

Especially given the league positions this ‘team’ has achieved.
It would be nice to retain the ‘best’ in the squad and rebuilt around them but I’ve said before none of them have really excelled to the point they look irreplaceable.
Of course there’s some I’d be sad to see leave, the likes of Richarlison I have no doubt will go on to bigger and better things with medals / honours won but we need a major rebuild so can live with the sacrifices that come with it. Just hope lessons have finally been learnt with recruitment.

I'd love him to go to a club where he'd get the plaudits he deserves. Ever since he's played for Everton he's been tarred by the media as lazy and a cheat. I suppose he met the quota needed to slate a young man for no reason...

The reality is that there's not a harder worker in the Everton squad and my god does he get kicked by opposition players. Will be interesting to see him getting actual protection by referees.
It's such a confusing club that I am not sure he would at United they also have loads of wingers/wide forwards...

He hasn't had a good few seasons. But he could score 15-20 goals in a top team the ammoung of chances they get I am convinced. With us he is asked to work his arse off defensively too.
That's for me not really an endorsement. I'm the worst footballer I know and I might luck into a goal for City, it means nothing.

Because our best player isn't very good. That's what happens when you stink.

He plays up front for Brazil and is consistently Everton‘s biggest attacking threat mate.
I love that this opinion was so bad it made Chico post the first two actual sensible football posts since he started posting again ?

I wouldn’t opt to let him go but equally I would not begrudge him a move or be too concerned if he did (provided it was a fair fee) - I like Richi and he’s clearly a quality player but I don’t feel he’s as good as Lukaku was for us (admittedly Lukaku had a better team around him then too).

I don’t think I have any bond to any of our players at the moment (maybe Gordon) which is a little sad but more importantly - the entire team were not signed with a single vision.

If we sell the “best” of our team i’m okay with it if there’s a clear vision how to reinvest the funds and build an actual team rather than the square peg round hole tactic we have at the moment.

Frank evidently wants to play a certain way and we just don’t have the personnel for it - we need stability and a few windows buying players for the same style of play (literally what a Director of football is for…).

I think letting Richarlison leave for a huge fee is not ideal but we need to balance the books and Richarlison & DCL are our most prized assets.

We haven't really been challenging anywhere near the top aside from Carlo's season since Richarlison joined, so I am not surprised Richarlison wants to leave to play in Champions League or Europe.

We'll miss him definitely but I wish him all the best as a footballer and I believe he has given his all in the last 4 seasons with us, too bad the club was so mismanaged that we could not have a decent squad after about 500mil spent.

We could make a case for all 4 centre forwards (if we count Richarlison as one) Tosun, DCL, Rondon and Richarlison to move on.

We can also make a case for all 8 centre midfielders (if we count Dele as one) Gbamin, Delph, Gomes, Allan, Doucoure, Davies, Iwobi and Dele to move on.

Those are the two areas which may need major surgery in the summer.

Ive been asking for a top centre back for 3 seasons now. Although this is the most publicised area to address we do have Godfrey and Branthwaite.

Effectively though I hope the summer will see a massive exodus of players throughout the spine of the team and a small number of high quality (and high potential) young players brought in.

Richarlison, DCL, Allan, Doucoure, Keane, Holgate and Mina are the ones we neee decent fees for to cover the rebuild.
