It was a nothing incident. If they charge him then it's because they have an agenda, nothing more.

Story on the I newspaper saying he’s going to be investigated by the FA albeit current copy has nothing by way of quotes etc so seems pretty speculative, the interesting bit though says he threw into a section without fans, so not sure if it went in the bit near the church as that looked fairly empty….. if so then who cares, just cleared it off the pitch.

I don't need a lecture. I'll watch it back when I get the chance and see if it went into the crowd or not.

But I don't think it's a big deal. No one made anything of it at the time other than a few irrelevant twitter journalists looking to have a go at us. So I'm probably not going to change my mind. This would be an agenda if they ban him and I'd rather support our player.

Tbh I thought he might be in trouble as soon as I saw it. If he's thrown it back into the direction of the crowd then that's a bit foolish imo.

It went back into the crowd and luckily the referee done eff all but I do remember carragher getting sent off and three game ban , it was a spur of the moment thing but it was dangerous and I’d be seething if an opposition player done it

Hate to say it but I do think he'll get some sort of punishment for that, hopefully not too harsh.
